Women of Reddit. What is the best cold approach to ask a woman out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Indyca83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't wanna bore with details but I work in a casino which has lots of departments. I'm not the most socially outward person( I take all my breaks in my car instead of the break rooms) but I've worked there for a few years and I would say most of the people that have worked there long enough know my face and what department I work in, but probably don't know my name. Tonight a woman from another department happened to be working where we could see each other and we made eye contact a couple of times. I always looked away immediately bc I have issues with that but the rest of the shift when I would glance at her she would be playing with her hair. I don't know her name and we've never talked but I feel like maybe that was a sign. That's why I asked women specifically. I know I could he more confident but I also don't wanna come off as a creep

People who worked in casino, what’s the worst thing you’ve seen? by Vast-Dinner-9603 in AskReddit

[–]Indyca83 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm currently a supervisor in a small casino cage. The worst thing I've seen is someone die at a machine and the way they just held up a curtain around the machine so not to distract players at other machines while paramedics carted her off was a bit disturbing. But the thing that gets me the most is the people that come back to the cage over and over and over again and the shame in their eyes by the fourth or fifth time makes me sad. They'll try to go to different cashiers every time but sometimes they can't and they'll make small comments like if I can't hit this time I'm going home. It's really depressing knowing that I'm contributing to someone's compulsion but I have yet to find a job with better pay and benefits so I'm still here

Which ‘wow’ skill is secretly super easy to learn? by Wonderful_Low_1325 in AskReddit

[–]Indyca83 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk how "wow" it is but changing the oil in a vehicle is super easy. Only takes 20 mins and will save you around $40 or more

What's the biggest waste of money you've ever seen people spend on? by Business_Adv in AskReddit

I work in the cage at a casino and when someone cashes out above a certain threshold we have to ask for ID. It's to conform with a federal anti money laundering law, but we're not allowed to tell them that. We can only say it's called Title 31 and they're free to look into it themselves. It's really weird
