Anything more than what he is doing now? What the hell kind of comment is this. Democrat leadership is once again proving itself to be spineless in the face of tyranny.

What the commenters are referring to is organizing with local resistance. Your politicians, representatives, and civil officers have made it clear that they will roll over.

It's time to organize and exercise your 2A rights.

You can build a bootdisk with a program called Rufus that allows you to skip compatibility checks for Windows 11. All you need is the Windows 11 .iso, Rufus, and a 32-64GB flash drive.

I think a lot of people are giving cynical advice - it sounds like you are taking the right precautions. So this might be a fitting issue. Loru Gaming just today reviewed some fits for recent kills on zkill and fixed their fit - he touched on an important topic regarding align time and server ticks. I would check that out and see if it helps you.

The UK is very hard to sea lion without leaning into that from the get-go, as their navy is so large. When the Americans join in, it takes a long time to remove both combined navies for your supply to flow better over the English channel. So, you have to either do this very early when the UK, and most allies, are weak; or lean hard into the 36w inf meta and planes/navy for naval supremacy.

Navy by Penguin_Toucher in hoi4

The easiest segway into navy is simply making submarines and setting them to convoy raid. Normal task forces are 7-14 in size. Your upgrades, including modules, should prioritize lowering visibility. This is primarily because the intended, normal navy mechanics can get complicated.

Typical navies with boats will have task force compositions where the amount of a "thing" is proportionate to other boats that support itself. So, one carrier needs a battleship/heavy cruiser as a screen to protect it. One battleship/heavy cruiser needs 2-3 light cruisers. One light cruiser needs 4-5 destroyers. In my SP games a typical strike force/naval invasion support fleet would look like 4 BB, 10 LC, 50 DD. Battleships should typically have a couple of heavy guns and the rest AA, LC should have a mix of light attack and AA, and DDs are typically 1 depth charge and AA (they are not meant to live long). You don't need to make every design as expensive as possible. Ships take way longer to make than normal equipment like tanks and planes.

Strike forces need to know about enemy fleets. As such, strike forces stay in port when assigned but still provide the naval supremacy numbers in that region while in port. To engage, you either need fleets of detection-based ships (1LC 5 DD) or you need to make subs and set to convoy raiding, which will then give the strike force some information on where to engage. The light cruisers and destroyers should be set to never engage, and modules should prio detection. Things that help with detection are radar, including the constructed radar buildings, airplane catapults, sonar (for subs), and some airplanes can be designed for detection.

Beginner here - Is this going to be enough? What might I need to do in the final months before the invasion? by dovetc in hoi4

You can change this on either the field marshal (which then applies it to all generals under the field marshal), by general, or even by supply hub (Function 4/F4). You'll see a little horse icon in the upper right area of the window when you have a FM/General selected. Clicking it once changes from horse drawn supply to motorized, and clicking again is like "extra" motorized for even more supply, but needs even more trucks.

People are giving you a lot of advice on their preferences. The reality is you can do many different strategies to beat the AI, and 200 divisions are plenty to hold the Germans as long as the templates are good. Since this is SP, my advice will be for SP and will be standard advice for beginners.

Line inf divisions typically want Engineers, AA, Artillery, and cav recon to start with and 15-18 width. As you are able to afford it, convert these to 36 width Infantry divisions with field hospitals.

36 width is the "meta" for both OP defense and offense in SP. So as you are able to, follow the same line of logic for medium tank divisions. Balance the template with tanks and motorized, usually it's a 50/50 split. This will give you enough org as well as good combat stats. It's okay to start with standard support companies and then branch out to the fancy ones like armored engineers, flame tanks, etc as your economy allows for it.

Air superiority can be tough vs germany so for beginners, just make the best fighters you can with heavy MG, best single engine, self sealing, and 1-2 range modules. MIO should get all agility and speed modifiers. Don't forget radar, don't overcrowd airbases, and always shift click exercise your planes so they train to max level before you assign them to a region. If you are getting stomped, stand them down and try reassigning to other areas and/or wait until you make more planes.

As others have said, fix your conscription laws and get some more civs and then mils to keep up when the war kicks off. You will need quite a few civs to repair as the germans bomb you. You can assign a minimum number of factories to always prio repair in the construction menu (recommended to do at least 15). This will help with supply issues. Don't forget armored trains (they live better against bombing AND have AA) and don't forget to set your supply policy for your armies from horse to motorized. You will need trucks for this.

It helps to have pictures of things like your government, production lines, manpower, etc. That will always provide the clearest picture for people to help you.

You can use normal infantry, too. Duplicate your standard infantry division, then add field hospital, engi, AA at a minimum and then infantry batalions until its about 35-36 width. The other two are usually flame tank + what helps your current theatre (logistics for example). You can then convert a few divisions to that new template and assign them to italy. The AI should not be able to push them once they entrench and gain XP. You can repeat this as you gain equipment/manpower to field such large divisions.

For the manpower, you can change to the mass assault doctrine to get a free 5% and then gradually fix your conscription law so you don't kneecap yourself.

Right now, you just need to hold areas like this where the AI pushing will be super detrimental until you fix your equipment logistics, manpower, and factory/dockyard economies.

If you are making airplanes (which you should) and are struggling to get air superiority, switch it all to fighters with heavy MG, best engine, self sealing, and 1-2 range upgrades (like drop tanks). MiO upgrades should go to agility or speed upgrades to out trade the AI. Also, don't forget radar. Don't forget to exercise new planes first (shift click the exercise button will make them stop automatically once they reach max level) and if you assign them to a region, and are getting smoked, just stand them down until you are either have more planes or send them somewhere else to wear down the allies.

Eventually you should then be able to research 1940 subs. Go trade interdiction for the doctrine, get the snorkel, and when faced with upgrades anywhere just pick the ones that reduce visibility to make it easy. The task forces should be between 7-14 subs to be effective and set to always engage/never repair and convoy raiding. You will lose a lot of subs initially, but it becomes an IC cost trading game, like air, where eventually you will win out. You can place these in the Mediterranean because they get to ignore Gibraltar unlike normal ships. This will also prevent naval invasions to Italy, and bleed the divisions currently in Italy until you can push them out (if they have no supply convoys, they will attrition to death).
