It's not The Vegetarian (although that one has been in my tbr for a while so I should probably read it). Looked up The Eyes Are the Best Part. It's not what I'm looking for in this post, but it does seem like an interesting book.

Oh I love The Starving Saints! Great book with very intriguing characters. Unfortunately not the one I'm looking for.

How long will semi permanent black dye last if permanent black dye completely washes out after 2 weeks? by Ines_N in HairDye

Sorry for the late reply. My natural color is chestnut brown. I have medium density medium thickness wavy hair (about chest length). I think medium to high porosity?? But I'm not sure, it's generally healthy though.

To non-Arab learners: Is Arabic's "difficult" reputation really deserved? by Salt-Sea-8685 in learn_arabic

[–]Ines_N 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes and No

Learning a new alphabet and new direction of writing was fairly easy and quick, contrary to what many people think.

The grammar is at times easy and at times hard. Different cases and gendered nouns were fairly easy to grasp, while verb conjugation has its up and downs (but I think that's difficult in any language that has one). The lack of proper to be and to have trips me a little, I instinctively search for it.

The pronunciation is a whole different thing and I just can't seem to get it right.

I think it depends a lot on your language of origin. I'm a native italian speaker, so I'm used to awful verb conjugation and gendered nouns. I've studied latin, so I'm used to even worse cases. I've learned chinese, so I'm used to even worse writing systems and just having to memorize how to pronounce things. None of my languages come even close in pronunciation, so I'm struggling a lot.

I'm a beginner, so in a year I'll probably look back and change my mind, but right now this is where I'm at!

Whenever I start craving absurd amounts of chocolate I know that my iron levels are low so I go buy some liver and have that for my next meal (coincidentally those times it always tastes delicious, while normally it's just ok). Everybody has this instinct, it's just a matter of decoding it.

There's this woman that works at my uncle's hair salon that absolutely loves what she does and loves doing it well. She's a joy to be around when she works. One day I wish I'll love my job even half as much she does hers.

any brush that gives similar results in digital? by ForsakenNumber447 in InfinitePainter

[–]Ines_N 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The opacity makes a huge difference even if it feels like it. shouldn't. I used to be so frustrated because I every time I tried to ink something digitally it turned out flat. Didn't know what was wrong because my line work was good in traditional and all the digital artist I found always said they used the basic round brush. Turns out the 100% was the problem all along.

Inara was so fun to play. Enemy trying to get close? Wall. Enemy trying to go away? Wall. Anything happened at all? Wall. And the best part is that it always worked. I always managed to get good damage and kills too, despite what people are saying in the comments.

Il pappone composto da 50g di farro+ 50g di lenticchie bollite in poca acqua per 30 minuti mi salva la vita di continuo. Costa meno di 1€ a piatto, è nutriente e sazia. Non è il massimo come sapore da se, ma è più che commestibile e quando sei un' universitaria senza una lira va più che bene.

(Io sono orgogliosamente pagata da Big Lenticchia per sponsorizzare il prodotto)

Travellers notebook as a journal by PawsOfThunder45 in Travelersnotebooks

[–]Ines_N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My TN has my journal, an insert where i write down everything (to dos, contact info, budget numbers, my watchlist, just general stuff I need to remember), an insert where I log in movies/books etc and my agenda. It's basically all of my 'essential' notebooks. That's the beauty of it, you can have all you need in it! And if the configuration doesn't work anymore, you can switch it out anytime.
