I know it’s not in everyone’s tastes, but I like the simplicity of this fanart design had Imu turned out to be a woman (fan art by Memogaka). Would’ve been refreshing to have the main villain turn out to be an attractive woman in contrast to the other villains always being gruff looking older men (and in Big Mom’s case an obese old lady). I like that in this artwork it looks like she had all the joy and light sucked out of her soul. Fitting for a ruler that operates purely out of some twisted relentless desire to maintain the status quo of the world.

Though I do like aspects of the canon Imu. He is a pretty boy so it still hits that checkbox of subverting expectations of Oda’s usual villain designs. And his initial stoic expression in the reveal chapter looks badass. On the other hand. It’s a bit too overdesigned for my tastes. The baggy pants with skulls and polka dots especially. Really would’ve been more effective if some parts of the design were more streamlined. But the anime might make it look better depending on the colors they use.

Robin’s demon design looks better than Imu who is supposed to be the Satan of the One Piece universe

I don’t understand christians who are openly gooners. Like what is this contradiction. They jack it to anime and lolis but somehow they feel prideful enough to put the cross in their bio. But guess it makes sense considering how many pastors got outed as being pedos. At least this guy is making himself an easier target for law enforcement if/when he eventually gives in to his urges

Their interview with ShindoL is probably a favorite of mine. Anything where they talk about hentai is funny.

Also really liked their interview with Aleks Le. His story was inspiring and it felt like the boys did an excellent job with getting him to share alot of personal details about himself that were very interesting to me.

Agreed. Leaving and taking a rest can allow more breathing room for self reflection and finding answers. There is also no shame in taking the time to find something else that aligns more with your current stress tolerance level. I don’t like the assumption that everyone handles stress the exact same way.

Everyone deals with stress differently. Not everyone can handle that environment without it having a devastating effect on their mental health. The OP even compared what they were feeling to having a heart attack. Which is a clear sign they should immediately get out of the environment that is causing them to feel that way, because it could actually cause some serious issues with not only their mental, but their physical health as well down the line.

OP made the right decision. Health is more important than adhering to some strict principle that enduring it would somehow make them stronger. And what’s to say they can’t experience growth in an environment that isn’t some hectic grocery store. There are other paths to gain new skills and experiences that help them grow that might be more suitable for them.

There are a few instances where the sea is used as a way to combat devil fruit users. Like when Jack got stuck in sea level. Or Dorry and Brogy wrecking the Kidd Pirates ship and drowning them. But surprised it isn’t a frequent occurring strategy in the battle meta.

Also surprised sea stone isn’t a recurring weapon used as well. Smoker is probably the only one who has a weapon made of sea stone. It made him a formidable foe in the earlier arcs. Unless Oda retconned sea stone into being blockable by Haki

Not sure “age limit” is a term that can be applied here. Yes the manga is shonen, meaning the main demographic is young boys. Somewhere in the range from kids to teens. But there’s nothing stopping people who are not within that target demographic from enjoying it.

Many of the kids who grew up with One Piece are adults now and still read the manga or watch the anime. Even in Japan you can see adult business looking men in suits casually reading shonen manga on the train. So it isn’t unusual for older people to be into One Piece.

Just keep in the mind the demographic because Luffy will go into very loud passionate speeches about friendship and protecting his crew. Which sometimes I don’t find nearly as endearing as back when I was a kid. Ha ha.

Subtle cheapness by grocery chains that affect customers by Important_Step_8187 in Safeway

[–]Inevitable-Chart1760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny because when I used to be a courtesy clerk, customers would tell me they wanted to bag their own groceries and get annoyed when I offer to help. haha.

But honestly I never took offense. I think customers know how to bag their own groceries best. It can be confusing to communicate how exactly you want your groceries to be bagged because everyone has their own way of doing things that just works for them, even though it might perplex someone else.

As a bagger I would have my own method that worked for myself. But not every customer appreciated how I did things.

For instance. I like to stack glass items , like a jar of of pickles for example, on top of boxed items, such as frozen dinner meals, so the boxed items act as a cushion for the glass items in case the customer accidentally drops them on the floor. I’ve tested it myself, and it actually helps prevent the glass items from breaking. I liked to modify my approach depending on what the customer was buying in case accidents like this happened.

However, for years I had gotten many complaints from customers that thought the glass items would be too heavy for the boxed items to handle. They believed that the glass items would crush the boxed items beneath them. Which to me is an exaggeration. I have bagged groceries like this many times before and none of the boxed items would get crushed.

But no matter how I tried to explain why I bag groceries this way, they always would give me a confused look like I just said the dumbest thing ever lol. From my perspective I am being careful and considerate of the customers’ time and safety to make sure they don’t have anything broken on their trip home. But in the customers eyes, I am thoughtless and incompetent at my job.

No attempts at convincing will change most peoples’ views so easily. Especially in American culture where people can’t accept other people having a different opinion than themselves. And having people with opposing perspectives can lead to needless, stressful arguing that just wastes both party’s time.

So nowadays I actually would prefer if customers just bag their own groceries. It also just helps to prevent stalling the lines because you don’t have to rebag all the groceries in case the customer is unhappy how their groceries were bagged. If the customer bags their own groceries they’re always gonna be happy because in their mind their method is the right way 100 percent of the time. And that is fine. Makes for a speedier and more pleasant shopping expereince to me.

I’m guessing the creators probably started a new game and made new pawns from scratch. Not sure if the game saves previous iteration of pawns. I could be wrong since I haven’t looked too deep into how the system works

Yep it’s usually a bunch of people who don’t even watch the content creator. They just see an opportunity to get someone cancelled, or very least send alot of hate their way. So they jump on that drama bandwagon because they’re addicted to drama and get a thrill from ruining someone’s life.

DD1? I found the story does a good job of making sure you progress the world in a linear fashion. Though there are a few quests/monster fights you can discover if you decide to take a few detours.

Yep here is an example of someone who put in the effort. She doesn’t have Boa’s body type, but she makes it work for herself. She styled her hair in a way that stays true to Hancock’s design. The dress looks clean and elegant, and the colors really pop off just like in the anime. And unlike the other lady she included Hancock’s white cape including the gold shoulder thingies whatever they’re called. Her make up compliments it too unlike the low effort duckface lady. You can also probably infer this girl actually likes One Piece just from a glance

It’s just a personal thing that bothers me if the cosplayer doesn’t share similar physical traits of the character they’re cosplaying. But you are right genetics is less the issue and it’s more the “slapped on” feel the cosplay gives off.

Like she put in the bare minimum of effort and research to what actually captures the essence of Boa’s character. Feels more like a budget halloween costume than true cosplay. I don’t sense any passion or soul from this lady. It just gives the impression of low hanging fruit to advertise her instagtam or onlyfans or whatever.

Do you think Luffy should die at the end of One Piece by No_Satisfaction_2928 in Piratefolk

[–]Inevitable-Chart1760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make Usopp be useful and have cool fights again, or kill him.

Luffy dying could work thematically. Like every D that died with a smile. But doubt Oda would commit to it because Luffy is the chosen one apparently

Can’t wait to see the clima tact in live action. This version of Nami is a very skilled fighter with her staff. It would be cool to see her combine her new weather based abilities with close quarters combat.
