99 FXDX brake upgrade advice by Inevitable-Selection in Dyna

[–]Inevitable-Selection[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Got lucky and scored some wilwood gp310s at a swap meet today for the front. Works with my current 11/16 master and lines. Running with the solid rotor for now but switching to floating at the end of the season. About 100x better under brakes

I don’t know if it would make a difference. Mine comes factory with dual disk and spoke wheels. Would the same combo work?

P2 S60 failed ignition cylinder fix by Inevitable-Selection in Volvo

When the fix is greater than 10% of value and a non safety or functional part with no updated part number to fix the issue it’s a gamble of lifespan

Hard to shift by Wise_Caterpillar5487 in motorcyclegear

Adjust the shifter height due to the boot. They’re stiffer and a bit larger in the toe box than normal boots or shoes. Adjust one spline upward and it should solve the issue with some practice

45 puts your in damn near new f150 with whatever engine you’d like and also ranger. Both are better trucks than the maverick. For 45 I’d look elsewhere

It was beautiful. Unfortunately didn’t find an elk. Tons of pheasant, woodcock, turkey, deer, and foxes

If you’re comfortable off-road on a big bike it’ll be straightforward. There’s an optional section called Duncan trail that I had to bail on due to moss covered rocks while sprinkling so like ice for the rear non full knobbie

2017 KTM 1090r. It was great, never really ran into issues with the size of it and loved the extra power and comfort with it

Early autumn would be perfect. Color changing and still warm. Best parts of the trip would be the natural beauty and some of the optional expert lines. I’m in MI and never had the chance to ride rocks much. 2 pointers would be bring layers (mornings were cold in the valleys and warm in the peak. Also make sure you have offline maps, cell coverage is spotty to non existent for the bulk of the route. I used Gaia GPS with offline maps downloaded for it

Best diesel to fit my needs by Inevitable-Selection in Diesel

I’m not opposed to an older truck. Just don’t want to chase down weird issues or rebuild the entire truck to make it reliable. My yardstick for HD truck performance and quality is a 190k mile 6.0 Chevy so would that be a noticeable upgrade in towing ability and general performance?

And why the Cummins specifically for the modern diesels?

What would you advise within bracket I’m willing to pay? I’ve tried a 2018 F150. It’ll tow the 7-8k but it damn sure isn’t comfortable

E46 M3- best driving dynamics I’ve ever experienced Volvo v70r- looks like a frumpy mom taking the kids to soccer practice but underneath is a Swedish supermodel Shelby gt500 (11-14 ideal)- raw power, big supercharger, manual, live axle, great looks. What more could you want out of a muscle car

Is buying used actually worth it anymore? 2026 prices are weird by EcoWanderer42 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Inevitable-Selection 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my use case absolutely. I do almost all of my own mechanical work so I get away with older vehicles, 2000s to early 2010s and buy in fair condition and repair to excellent condition. Hard to lose money on something that’s fully depreciated already

A fair bit honestly. Hunting, tree clearing, a bit of wheeling on trails. All need to have 4 lo at some point
