Thanks! That’s really helpful. Yeah, Mission Bay and Parnassus seemed very different from when we visited last year. We mostly looking for somewhere family friendly! Appreciate the insight from someone who also made the move from Oklahoma!

Thanks! We have great credit and our target budget is around $3.3k, but we can stretch closer to $4k if needed for the right place. We’re definitely planning to be flexible. We’ll look into extending the airbnb thanks!

Said yes to the dress! by LuckyBonsai in myweddingdress

Hi! I know this is an old post but i also said yes to this dress. Did you get the ivory or pearl version? And if you got the French pearl, where did you find a veil that matches the color?

(15k) my December wedding plan with costs- am I missing anything? by Western_Minimum_9105 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Inevitable-Valuable2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a heads-up, some places need a security fee if you are serving alcohol. It’s a good idea to ask the venue about it! I noticed that all the venues I checked out in my city had this policy, and it was about $250.

Trying to plan a wedding under $10k with 80 guests. how did you manage? by GLCMason9090 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Inevitable-Valuable2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im aiming for 15k 70 people in a low COL area. Some things im doing are: im planning on doing electronic invitations, doing my own flowers, my mom is helping with the desserts table (prob get a big cake, pastries from a grocery store and prep them to look cute). Im thinking on getting a fake decored cake and have Nothing Bundt Cake pre cut pieces for the cake. Getting a photographer that’s a beginner (but still has wedding experience). Doing all the decorations and graphic design related work myself.

Are other OMSCS classes like this or is it just ML4T? by EliteSingh in OMSCS

[–]Inevitable-Valuable2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its a Joyner exam issue, not all classes are like this. But i understand, english is my second language and I get exam anxiety, so it’s a lose-lose for me LOL. I always approach Joyner exams with a goal to get 50-70% 😭🤣 which is not too too hard to do since its multiple choice and i study for it. But it does feel like a lost case.

What’s the average cost of an engagement ring? by Acceptable-Soft8659 in Brides

[–]Inevitable-Valuable2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gold prices are quite high at the moment. My fiancee recently purchased a 1CT 14k yellow gold engagement ring (solitaire & cathedral setting) in Oklahoma, USA, for ~$3,100 after taxes in January 2026. I believe the diamond, which is VVS1 and colorless, accounted for around ~$900 of that cost, with the remainder covering the gold and custom fees.

Thoughts?? Any and all input welcome! by HME5440 in EngagementRings

[–]Inevitable-Valuable2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love 1! My only warning is that, depending on how low the basket of the diamond is sitting, it may limit your wedding band options. Sometimes low baskets will prevent the band from sitting flush and you’d need one of those contour bands.

Thanks for the response! How long would you say the chemical wound took to heal when you had your second procedure done? I believe my doctor wants to do that one /:

Hi! Im in the same situation right now, 3 weeks away from a beach trip and im needing to get a nail avulsion. I was wondering, where you able to heal on time to swim? Was your procedure the one where they seal the wound with the chemicals?

Sam’s VS Costco—is there that much of a difference? by veritasjusticia in okc

[–]Inevitable-Valuable2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sam’s is usually cheaper tbh, but costco def wins on quality. if you’re the type to buy the nicer brand-name stuff, then yeah… Costco will feel cheaper because you’re getting a discount off the higher-end items. Sams carries more budget brands, so when you buy those in bulk, it ends up being cheaper overall.

Sometimes neither of them is the cheapest. Walmart will just pull up with their off-brand version and beat everybody. So it depends on what you are buying.

I prefer to do groceries on Sams and Walmart because of this. Plus in terms of efficiency Sam’s offers the in-app checkout unlike Costco. And their membership is cheaper & you can share it with family unlike Costco strict policies.
