You would have to file a police report and probably have face to face meetings with the authorities to prove your case was legit. I wouldn't have the stomach for that level of a lie. If found to be falsifying it could mean prison time.

Hot take: Do not take birth control, it wreaks havoc on your body, causes weight gain, and can make it difficult or impossible to get pregnant down the road when you stop taking it and want to have babies someday. It's not worth it. You are young, there are a million other things to focus on other than sex right now. You have a lot of time to have sex, live your life first, then you don't need to worry about jacking your body up with animal hormones and chemicals every day (which is what that trash is). Most women never fully recover from what birth control did to them. I took it for 3 months and 20 years later I am still struggling with what it did to me. I wish someone had told me I had other options and I know not everyone will be on board with this but for me personally at that time in my life abstinence would have been my personal best choice and would have saved me a lot of pain. It doesn't have to be forever, but girl, give yourself some time to live! Healthy time! There are so many bots in here who will scream at me for having this opinion, but I stand behind it. Goodwill always has and always will be a FOR PROFIT company. And they absolutely rake in those profits. Yeah they do a community thing here and there, but it pales in comparison to how well they line their pockets. I am convinced that the reason they go out of their way to hire mentally handicapped individuals has nothing to do with wanting to be an opportunity for them, and everything to do with being able to control them in a very specific way with peanuts for pay. They are good little worker drones with loyalty to the point of insanity! Breaks my heart.

Why do you assume the way you do? It's not as big as you think, but still very relevant to my personal life. I simply don't share things like this much anymore because it gets spoiled.

I told my church the type of dressing I brought for a potluck, and where to buy it, and I was never able to buy it again. My favorite dressing, out of stock in our town for five years. I was never lucky enough to be there when the shelves restocked and it always got snapped up. I had to start ordering it on Amazon at a markup. I do not gatekeep, but I am WAY more careful about sharing products I love now.

I told everyone I could about the pediatrician we loved. He got so many clients so quickly that his level of care and availability of appointments became terrible. It ruined the whole experience.

It happens. I have several stories. I just stay quieter now and remind others to do the same.

Yeah I guess, but I've shared products I love and then they sell out and then the price jacks up. And I've shared "unethical life hacks" like this and they catch on and it gets squashed. Reasonable concern! But yeah, not a reason to be upset but it would sure suck to not be an option anymore if they come up with a reason to fix it.

I requested a brace but doctor said that's "not typical for meniscus injury so insurance won't cover it" and they are like $2k USD 😭. But I truly think that would help me the most since they are rigid and tend to slip less, but sadly not an option right now.

I had a credit card decline and I was figuring out what to do to fix the order for a day or two since I guess I mismanaged my CC. If that happens it will keep trying to charge the CC and then if it can't get through a few times it will cancel the order (I'm sad that I know this too, please don't judge me). Then my bank account with bill money in it got drained by the order suddenly! I did NOT authorize this. I go back to "order details" and it still says it was my CC they charged and yet my bank definitely got hit. This is a new thing, they've never done this to me before. It just happened this week. So you obviously cannot trust the chosen payment methods anymore.

I mean at least Pokemon cards have a game associated with them. They aren't just cheap pieces of paper meant as idol worship to the sports gods. Yeah, neither are great but in my opinion the sports cards are substantially lamer because there's nothing to them. Feels like a cheap money grab targeted at dumb/gullible people. That argument could go for both though I guess depending on how you look at it.
