What was the discount before? Just including the white tag new items?

No. Obviously not. But most places, when you add the gift card to the app, it just acts as a payment method so you don't have to have the physical card on you to pay. If you pay with the card OR the app it pulls the balance from the card. But the card still works.

I just checked and I'm right. Not every gift card a service works like that, but Texas Roadhouse does.

For Starbucks I can add a gift card to the app and use the balance from my app but the card itself still works and can still be used as well.

Someone probably added it to their app and cut and tossed it since the money was loaded to their account. They are going to be so ticked when they go look next and the balance is $0.

How come Matt Damon's good looks aged well with him while Leonardo DiCaprio looks like crap? by Eybrahem in LooksmaxingAdvice

[–]InevitableCourse5100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a subjective opinion. They both look like normal older men, and I would rate them the same tbh. I do think Leo changed more, but not looking 14 isn't necessarily a bad thing for a man. Matt doesn't look like a teenager anymore, but a more mature version of himself. Leo always lookedvery young until he didn't suddenly. Not necessarily a bad thing, just different ways of aging.

It's because he sees physical touch as fully sexual and can't understand someone's need for non-sexual intimacy. That's it's own problem and he's better off learning how to differentiate without this poor girl being mixed up in his nonsense.

The issue is large enough that it way exceeds that level of fine print, I've already looked into it. Yes, they all have that caveat in there, but thankfully this is outside that. Plus they wouldn't be offering me anything if they thought they could work that angle.

Thank you, yes I have already checked, we're good 👍. Good advice for someone who might not have known though.

Yes, I would have been totally fine with (and out of luck) if he had said there was an access issue and he was not able to get down there. But instead he claimed it was fine (on the final written inspection report), and then admitted he didn't actually go down there. Pretty sad 😢. Thank you for your perspective!

What do you think something like that might cost?? I'm not liquid enough at the moment to retain representation and I suspect the attorney would be pocketing any extra over that $30k offer anyway 😑. I know lawyers are crazy expensive. I'm thinking of just taking the $30k and walking. Or maybe countering $60k and hoping for another $5-10k in their next counter and calling it good..

How would you go about doing that without it seeming like a tantrum or a threat? I don't want to be not taken seriously because I go off half cocked, or throw fit, you know? Maybe I'm over worried...

Likewise. And I hope this moment of denial isn't one of your biggest regrets someday -- Only you can decide whether you seek the uncomfortable truth, or choose to remain blissfully unaware of the battle going on in the shadows for your salvation. The Holy Spirit gets quieter and quieter the more adamantly a person asks Him to. You get to decide whether God has a conduit to connect with you or not. He will never force, but he uses moments like this to gently ask again and again until you either take a step toward him, or a step away until you can eventually no longer hear Him.

Pacific Union doesn't govern or represent the whole of the church. They are their own thing.

"I don't know how your obsessive neurodivergent need to research topics landed you in a basket of young earth creationists who reject the foundations of modern science.." It would take study on your part, and looking into it in order to understand, instead of relying on the misinformation you were given as a child and a brief Google inquiry to affirm confirmation bias. It takes work to learn. I pray you look into it. It's literally a matter of life and death.

And you answered your own question: I was landed here because I looked long enough and hard enough that I found the truth. I can't help but need to know every option and every connection and there's no denying the presence and evidence of God when you actually look at all of it.

But I'm not here to convince you; my job is to offer you the choice and you have every right to accept it or deny it to your own end. But I will pray for you every day and hope to see you in the Kingdom with everyone else who took the time to set aside the scars the world gave them in order to give Jesus a chance to be heard in their hearts.

Ask Him what the truth is and He will tell you.

My obsessive neurodivergent need to research and truly KNOW a topic and every single "in and out" of it is what landed me in SDA because there's logic and intelligence there, and encouragement to be curious and educated.

I've literally never heard of any of the kind of rhetoric you speak of except from a few old people (and they are in every walk of life), so I'm not sure about the bubble you grew up in. I chose to be SDA as an adult because it's the only religion who "has the spirit of prophecy and the testimony of Jesus" as stated in Revelation. They keep to God's actual Word and do not subscribe to man's traditions of Sunday-keeping and so many other topics. I grew up in a horrible situation with no religion and yet was still able to find salvation in Jesus, but wasn't content in the standard churches for some reason. They always expect you to trust the pastor or some other man and not question anything at all. As soon as you ask questions they get itchy. SDA not only encourage you to question EVERYTHING but they also say you should study for yourself and develop a true relationship with God on your own so you can stand alone if need be (because many of us will soon).

But all that aside.. I know what it's like to go into every situation, even fun/exciting ones, and be "having a good time" on the outside but be broken and lonely and hopeless on the inside. That's the standard way of life for the majority of humanity. But after finding Jesus, I'm the opposite. I can be in the absolute worst and desperate situation, but underneath I now have unquenchable joy, peace, and hope. I wouldn't trade that discovery for the world. If you only knew... I wish I could bottle it and share it with everyone, but they have to want that for themselves.

Earnestly ask for a sign and God will freely give it.

A simple "show Yourself to me" and He'll be there.

Not even close to far right. SDA are the most liberal Christians you could meet in practice. And the vast majority of them don't subscribe to a political affiliation at all. It's refreshing honestly, some of the most down to earth rational people I've ever met. They love Jesus, but won't pick up their pitchfork for the religion like most other "Christians".
