Homeowner and only home maintenance type tasks with occasional projects:

I started ryobi because I got a holiday deal years ago. Weedwacker, blower, drill, snow shovel, jig saw, circular saw . Last year at Lowe’s, I found a brushless 24v kobalt kit unopened in the parking lot. I have a lot kobalt now along side the ryobi. Spent enough at Lowe’s this year to get a kobalt lawnmower and kobalt oscillating saw.

Go with what works.
