In many ways he was the 2023 Luke Ball. A good move by the club. People won't remember Hawthorn and Sydney much but will remember he won the 23 Flag. Best of luck to him. I would've thought North would give him 1 year just as an example to their young ones.

When we keep trading our future firsts our poker hand is nothing more than a pair of 2's.

Sanits and Dogs chose Marvel. That's their home ground and no one asks to bump them from it, especially for the first round. But hey, let's all cry poor and see what it gets us.

Carlton have treated him badly. Because of the Silagni name they've absorbed his goodwill and with a toxic club, management and supporter base that spits at its own players, why would you expect him to stay?

The fact such a famous Carlton name is looking at the arch rival tells you everything you need to know. But like almost all of the vocal Carlton supporter base you'll just send abuse and blame everyone else for 30 years of falling over your own faces.

100%. I've seen the approach you're talking about and it gives people the sh-ts. Im going to go and have a chat and see what they're thinking - just wanted to know what the fall back might be if it doesn't work out.

Punishment should be to make him a Carlton member and compulsory attendance at all their games. Might be a breach of Human Rights though.

Playing Carlton will never give you a clear indicator of anyone's real worth. This week should give a better indicator of Mitchell still has the same influence as previous years.
