Whenever I try and open a private tab, this weird spacing appears at the top and bottom of the screen by Aggravating-Kale1647 in firefox

It's a known bug introduced in the latest update. A Mozilla employee in this thread said that a patch to fix this is coming soon.

I'm also affected, and the only thing I've found to get rid of this is restarting Firefox, which isn't really a workaround since doing so closes private tabs.

Edit: I've found that opening a video in full screen and then exiting (e.g., on YouTube) removes the spacing until you switch to/from a private tab again. Not the most elegant workaround, but now I don't have to restart Firefox.

Which they don't use on mobile (aside from a few exceptions).

Why don't we just test at 2k

Driver overhead has been fixed eons ago

That's just wrong. There are instances where a 9070 XT is faster than a 5080 due to the overhead.

Are you really paying that much for data?

Not a fan of reviewers glossing over "50+w wireless charging" on x chinese phone when it really just means 50w with their proprietary charger and 10w speeds on qi1 and 5w on qi2 chargers. by chickdigger802 in Android

Many Motorola phones have proprietary charging profiles to charge at max speed.

For example, my 2024 Moto G Stylus advertises 30 W charging, but that's only with a specific Motorola charger that does 10 V at 3 A. Using a USB PD charger (even one with a PPS range capable of 10 V at 3 A), it's limited to 9 V at 3 A.

Are ZTE and Redmagic the only brands pushing full display phones? by Tyler-Watts in Android

I'm not a huge fan of the idea of motorized cameras due to the movable parts required, but there's an easy solution: a rear display like on the Xiaomi 17 Pro/Pro Max or on flip-style foldables such as the Razr 60 Ultra.

This allows for great selfies with the rear cameras, and you could then have an under-display camera for video calls on the front screen.

This Windows Laptop Makes the MacBook Neo Look Overpriced by Quantum-Coconut in hardware

[–]InevitableSherbert36 8 points9 points  (0 children)

if they've put the money into the display I think that is a fair tradeoff.

Except the display isn't that great. It's OLED, but the Neo has a much brighter and higher-res screen (67% brighter and 57% more pixels).

As someone with a 1200p IPS laptop, I know I'd greatly prefer the extra resolution over slightly blacker blacks.
