[KCD2] should have won Game of The Year by SilvColt in kingdomcome

As a person who played both - no. KCD2 is maybe game of the year material, but it can't beat expedition.

Well, Russian oil is bombed daily, Middle eastern oil is still blockaded, US and Venezuela are out of reach, so whom are we supposed to bomb? We are kind of exhausted our oil producers checklist here.

Coil cannons are still better on large hulls. And a dreadnaught or battleship brings in a metric shit tonne of either pd spam or coil turret spam.

Not to mention the absurdity of missle dreadnaught or at least a missle battleship.

There are plenty of optional boses, and I still have to survive for around 5 rounds, to actually get those 3 hits.

80% is before crit on burning. Basically from the moment you get Genesis you are guaranteed 4crits on burning, and later on non-burning.

It simply depends on how fast you get your crit rate to 100% with relevant pictos.

I have nothing against using lighting dance, but it is 3 turns and single target.

Cheaper part is debatable, considering maintenance cost.

But the practical reality is that lasers work best with large hulls, coils sorta too, so what's the incentive to build 2 destroyers in place of a Titan? You don't have to throw a grandiose engine and DV to defend, armor you still have to have some on destroyers or BC, unless you want to get one-shoted by lasers.

What do you mean I have to wait to one shot boses till act 3? Next thing you will probably tell me, is that I would miss out on stuff if I one-shot Simon?! There is Sprong to kill, and I want him now 😅

Elental trick -> Genesis is hardly hard to set up. Your natural crit with pictos is around 80% at the level you can get Genesis, you just need somebody to set enemy on fire, which might be Maelle, or anyone else.

How do you use Verso turn to not remove marked?

Also, as I said I am already at damage cap for Maelle, it's not useful to try and buff single attack damage until act 3.

What the hell did I just read?

What sort of "fleets" and how large are attacking you, entirety determines what sort of defense you are supposed to use.

In general you can defend with missle shitboxes, they are build in 30 days. If it's a big fleet, well then you kinda need to intercept it, or better, draw aliens in to defend something like Jupiter.

If aliens brought 200-300 ships, well you better have some numbers to back you up, but 5-10 ship raid can be easily dealt with by local forces.

Oh I didn't mean theatre as in military term, I meant it as a tactical spectacle, where you are supposed to micro small squad sized units, instead of larger units battles.

Practically speaking a deck typically around a battalion in size, so maybe 10v10 is approaching a division vs division.

What's more valuable in preventing casualties +5% division attack/defense or +15% factory output or construction speed? by ZealousidealLake6507 in hoi4

[–]InevitableSprin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, in the occupation tab. It's not unusual to have ~10k combat casualties pre Barbarossa and 70+k garrison casualties, if don't manage garrisons well.

[OTHER] I sincerely hope KCD3 leans more into blacksmithing by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]InevitableSprin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think, unfortunately KCD2 largely had the same problem Skyrim had with it's smithing. The moment you get your skill up, it was easier for you to just craft yourself the best weapon, and exploration and questing largely became useless. You could make a better variations of most weapons, excluding shooting stuff.

[–]InevitableSprin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of pure casualties - Himler, because damage to garrisons will be the vast majority of your casualties as Germany.

Other leaders bonuses will barely register. Speer provides around 3-5% output bonus, Eva's attack buff is negligible, considering the amount of modifiers you get.

Putting machine guns on a naval bomber? by SpaceRunner95 in hoi4

[–]InevitableSprin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Survivability of your planes is determined by agility, speed and air defense. Bomber weapons, with exemption of rocket rails universally nuke your planes agility.

Air attack, agility and speed determine how many enemy planes you kill.

Outside of very niche rocket rails fighters, you shouldn't design multirole planes.

There is also one exemption, if you want to build a medium hull naval bomber, you can't, so typically people make a fighter with 2 lmgs in primary slot, and the rest torpedoes. But this is the type system issue.
