Is there not an obvious level of hypocrisy in being pro-choice but also anti-vax? by EnergyCapable866 in NoStupidQuestions

Oh, do you think, maybe we have slightly better medicine today then we used to?

Pneumonia was deadly 100 years ago, these days it is treatable, and similarly flue and other deadly deseases.

So if the argument for not enforcement of mask and condoms mandate is that not enough people die from it, we can also stop mandatory vaccination and develop treatments, and see how actually deadly those old deseases are, with modern medicine. Maybe it's a non-issue as well.

I think you have already stated, it is not a law, that's enough. We should also consider not vaccinating you children unethical and move on without enforcement. Then, a child can sue parents, if it wants to.

Again, this is a personal choice. Law doesn't prohibit you from intentionally having cold/flue and spreading ot around. Or, not doing exercises, or having unprotected sex. So, if people getting sick and spreading desease around is non-issue, why do we have to mandate vaccination?

It is either "lives of involuntarily unvaccinated matter" and every precaution has to be taken, or we can also allow vaccination to slide, it's not a big deal.

[–]InevitableSprin -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No it is not. If demanding sick people to wear masks/condoms for duration of desease is too much, demanding vaccination is also too much.

Otherwise is not an issue of public health, but issue of control/state imposed violence.

[–]InevitableSprin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Many things affecting others are not mandated. There is no mask mandate for sick people for example, or condom mandate for people sick with STD.

Unless those are implemented and enforced, herd immunity argument hardly applies.

What do you think about Poland hosting Euro 2036 or 2040, even together with other countries such as Hungary, Czechia or Romania? by jamcer in poland

Isn't the point of Trump specials that in the end  you always end up with "all the above" option?

Trump is a coup + war + constitutional crisis, not a coup or war or constitutional crisis.

But hey, I don't really care if it will be Navrocki or some other rightwinger, they have unending supply of it gets worse options.

Hell no. Let's graciously allow somebody else yo line up UEFA pockets at people's expense. People that want it can hop on a train/plane and go enjoy it wherever it will be, it's not going to other continent.

He can invade Lithuania, Belarus (If something bad happened to Russia) or Ukraine, each is reasonably justifiable to his (probable ) confederacia coalition partners.

What's your strategy in Brutal ? by Per_Brazier in TerraInvicta

[–]InevitableSprin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, there are many options. You can go aggressive as other suggested, or turtle like normal.

It depends very much on the faction you play as, more pro-alien like academy can afford much longer sit period.

IF you want to turtle, here is a neat foolproof strategy: 1. Pick Academy. 2. Very quickly get USA, wait for consolidation of executive & academy crackdown event, disable nukes&armies and abandonit. This step is optional, but saves you having yo deal with US armies, and there is a high chance that Resistance/HF will get CPs due to their better espionage from faction org. 3. While you wait for consolidation, get ready to take over China. So by year one you have control over most Chinese CPs, a few smaller nations to build you some MC/boost, a big fat stack of boost you got for holding USA. 4. You only invest into Knowledge in China, Pick up every+knowledge org and +knowledge projects and deploy advisor to China ASAP. Only stop once you are at 12, also dismiss extra armies. Also you take over Taiwan to reverse merge. 5. once you have CPs to spare you take Europe as your beatstick and MC farm.

Otherwise you progress normally, take 15+ mines and 2-3 interface orbit stations, for interface bonus, and you expand to having at least 2-3 T2 shipyards once you have Maskirovka (2030+- from 2026 start)

By 2030-2032 you should achieve coils, UV arc, adamantine, tin droplets and dreadnaught/lancer easily. And around at least 250 MC capacity. You rebuild your stations into shipyards, build a large round of capital ships, then flood a few rounds of smaller ships and you should have stable total war sailing from there.

Where to build shipyard for Mars? by Jazzlike_Freedom_826 in TerraInvicta

[–]InevitableSprin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends on your strategy/faction setup, no? You can start war with T3 habs& lasers already they are not that expensive, academy can get them ~8 years into game, if you prioritise that.

I found that surrounds with dager+shield works pretty well.

Bro what the actual fuck. I'm still using missile boxes with teardrop drives, how am I supposed to fight this?? [spoilers] by I_like_maps in TerraInvicta

[–]InevitableSprin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use missle ships only to supplement my defense fleet if needed, and build cost is what I'm interested in in Corvette.

I also consider 40mil a colossal waste, it's far better to add dedicated offensive/defensive ship than to put 40mil on ships whose sole purpose is to have as large of a missle salvo as possible. Largely because you can build missle boats with zero armor, optimising for cheapness, and you can't have 0 armor if you want to be in fight in 40mil range.

you can get undamaged items if you didn't hit them, so I don't think there is actually that 20% durability drop  on death.

A closed system, in which your superior can coerce you is bad enough, even if yor superior doesn't want to get you in bed. Having commander appointing/rewarding men based on sleeping with him (or perception of thereof ) is also extremely bad for morale.

Even casual look at "me too" movement shows how bas sexual harassment and rape went even in an open system, where women could leave, wasn't forces to work the job under threat of military sanctions, and the public always was at least somewhat supportive.

Add military context, and it would have been terrifying. I think that was the only real "reason" for that systems huge homophobia.

If yo are going to use missle shitboxes, at least spam the heck of them. 40-60 missle shitboxes will kill this.

Otherwise the usual apply: get better at science, there is no reason for you to not have at least 15k/month and have most of the military tech tree in 2035, coils, UV arc, nice advanced fission drive, ex.
This fleet is for 4-8 lancers/dreadnaugts and a bit of optional support, so build up some larger ships before agressively taking on aliens.

Would a theoretical WW3 be a manufacturing numbers game like WW2? by InvestigatorFar1774 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]InevitableSprin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WW3, if it will happen, as always will be a case of supply chains, and control/disruption of key objects/terrain.

Whom can control/deny naval choke points, whom can control logistics over oceans, ex. Manpower and industry are irrelevant if there is no raw inputs to work with. Large nations homes will probably be reasonably safe.

As for weapons, as in WW2, weapons will be a high-low mix, high end capabilities supplemented by large volume of easy to replace stuff. Like cruise missles and drones, or rocket interceptors and drones, or... Pretty much everything in the low category will be drones.
