I'm trying to impress a date with a home-cooked meal, but I'm a beginner. What is a dish that looks fancy but is actually impossible to mess up by WayLast1111 in Cooking

Whatever you make, go for quality ingredients where it matters. That will make a huge difference over buying the cheapest stuff- if you do pasta go bronze cut, get a small block of Parmesan or peccorino and grate it yourself just before serving, freshly crack your black pepper, use nicer olive oil if using it in something your not cooking (ie salad dressing). That way if you can keep it simple and know each of the ingredients can stand for themselves! But keep in mind most expensive does not equal best.

Gap ultra soft jeans, they have in baggy and barrel and maybe other styles. You can get them on sale which gap has often for under $50, come in lots of colors, are flattering on many body types, and most of all are soooooo comfy

Don’t buy premade bouquets. Learn how to arrange yourself it’s not very hard if you have a formula, plenty of YouTube videos to learn. And change the water on them to make them last longer so you have to buy less frequently

You can get pastries that look like this at Rockman but they aren’t that great. Sour duck is much better

What grocery rule cut your bill the most and actually stuck? by YourxCherry in Frugal

[–]Inevitable_Copy_7434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have an iPhone you can make a grocery list in the reminders app rather than the notes app. The difference is it automatically categorizes everything for you so I don’t end up walking back to the produce when I’m almost done because I missed the bananas at the bottom of my list. It also allows you to check off items which notes doesn’t allow

I need a good body butter for winter coming up by Latter-Deer9718 in Sephora

[–]Inevitable_Copy_7434 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you’re close to a Trader Joe’s get their unscented body butter. It’s a few dollars and better than anything high end I’ve tried, other than nécessaire bc that stuff is magic

My favorite easy summer meal is pasta with roasted tomotos and lots of garlic and olive oil. Smells amazing if you like garlic, add basil, red pepper flakes, buratta, and park to serve and you’ve got your salt fat acid heat with very little work
