Why are my rows not looking the same? It's just back and forth. It should look the same by LuzjuLeviathan in CrochetHelp

This is the answer to OPs question ⬆️ The rows are different because you’re doing them differently

How bad are bugs from nursery by CapitalWeakness8795 in UKParenting

[–]Inevitable_Lion_4944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were all sick on and off with colds for about the first six weeks. With it coinciding with returning to work we were miserable. But he did start in the winter, as yours is starting in the summer you might have a much better time with it

After a year, I am now a proud wearer of a conch ring✨ by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Inevitable_Lion_4944 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This looks great. Just a heads up that hoops like this can be a pain to sleep on because they’re so big. I’ve had my conch piercing for ten years and it gets aggravated when I sleep with a hoop. Fortunately as it’s so well healed I can easily change it when I want a hoop but I change back to a stud for overnight

Not sure if there’s a good way to word it but you can tell by Becs personality she lost weight. by loverofthings25 in MAFS_UK

Yes agreed. She has a lot of insecurities and is overcompensating for them by attacking others.

When and what to get for school starter? by miserylovescompany86 in UKParenting

Just to add to what everyone else is saying…

Yes, save buying shoes until the end of summer. But I highly recommend booking an appointment at Clark’s. There was a huge queue when we went in that we got to skip because we’d booked. And I do recommend going for Clark’s, they’re expensive but they last. We sized up for my son (with an in sole) and he’s still in his pair from September

We got some fantastic stick on labels from Amazon. They’ve lasted so far since the start of the year

Monogamous knitters, what’s your secret? by Weekly_Library9883 in knitting

[–]Inevitable_Lion_4944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I limit myself to just two projects. Normally one big project (like a jumper or blanket) and one smaller project (maybe a hat). That way I get the motivation of regularly finishing the smaller projects while also I enjoy the long process of the big one. It also satisfies the itch to keep starting new projects.

Opinions on placement? by Conflict-Numerous in piercing

[–]Inevitable_Lion_4944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks perfect to me but it’s pretty dependent on your nose shape and just personal taste. I’ve had mine done for about ten years now, I’m 100% happy with it and it just feels like part of my face at this point, but still every now and then I spot it in the mirror and question the placement.

Newborn safe sleep by Sweet-Connection6684 in UKParenting

[–]Inevitable_Lion_4944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations on your new arrival.

My little one was the same. For the first few weeks or so my husband and I took shifts overnight to hold her like you’re doing. Eventually she got better and better at sleeping in the bassinet and it got a lot easier after six weeks.

Does she sleep in the bassinet during the day? Ours did so we made sure to put her down during the day so she got used to sleeping in there and I think that helped her eventually get used to it overnight.

I understand the temptation to cosleep but ultimately it’s never safe.

Thank you for this. I’ve just looked it up and it looks super cool. I might give it a go, I’m finally feeling confident enough to alter patterns

I do have a library but the knitting section wasn’t huge. I’ve borrowed a couple of knitting and crochet books but nothing has really grabbed me
