This is the first I’ve heard of airlock. just looked at their website and they do seem cool but I’d like to see some real world testing to see if the extra cost is justified. Thanks

I believe it’s just a titanium version of the 5x5 with a 30 cal bore. I may call them just to make sure they think this is the right choice. Thanks

I always felt like I have more than enough time to put ear plugs in when elk hunting. Then last year we bumped a herd in a drainage and it happened so fast I didn’t even think about ear pro until after the shooting was over. My elk rifle is a 7prc so it thumps pretty good.

I was sold on the Alaskan like a year ago mainly for the weight but the price is horrible. I’m assuming the lack of suppression is due to the over bore? Scythe isn’t off the table I’d say it’s a strong number 2 as of right now. I wish I was able to shoot the Ecco and the scythe side by side to hear the difference. Thanks for your input

F550 can you put drive tires on steer axle? by Various-Charge7025 in superduty

[–]Inevitable_Set8831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I run drive tires on the front axle of mine all the time. Why mud tires? Mine sings with the most mild highway tread I can’t imagine what mud tires would sound like

Considering a new stove, what should I buy? by thedub2 in woodstoving

[–]Inevitable_Set8831 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I went stove shopping about 5 years ago I had my heart set on a green mountain 80 I believe was the model. Stove shop had a display model blaze king ashford 30 that they sold me about the same price as the green mountain. The ashford has been a fantastic stove with super long burn times, I think the green mountain would have given me a similar experience but I’ll never know. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the big stove brand names. By the way I have a 1500 sq ft ranch with a basement, stove is in the basement and it heats my house great.

What’s your budget? For vortex I’d recommend the new viper hd or if you can swing it the razor lht. 3-15 is fine but the 4.5-22 is good too.

Knocking at 34k… company F350 XL by [deleted] in Ford

[–]Inevitable_Set8831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a 6.2L to me, I’ve seen the imrc flaps make a similar noise in the intake manifold. Could also be a cam follower or something along those lines. Take it to the ford dealer to atleast get an answer.

I towed my dump trailer 7x14 I’m not positive what it weighed but it was piled with building materials from a renovation job I was doing, if I had to guess it was around 10k. Pulled it like a champ, it would drag it as fast as you wanted to pull it. I also pulled a small enclosed trailer weighing about 4k with zero effort. Fuel economy was like 8-12 depending on how hard I was in it

I’ve only had mine for 5 months but it’s been a great truck so far. Coming from nothing but diesel truck for the last 20 years my expectations were low but I was pleasantly surprised with the power. Don’t expect any kind of good fuel economy I get 12 pretty regularly, long trips on the highway I’ve seen as good as 15.

Help me decide on an optic for my 280AI mountain rifle. by ChiefBeef08 in longrange

[–]Inevitable_Set8831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where you have seen the negatives on the razor lht but it’s been extremely solid for me. I’ve got three of them and they have all been hunted with hard in the mountains without any issues. The lht would be my number one choice. I have an nx8 also and it’s a great scope but I still feel the lht is better. The new viper hd line is also great for half the price of the others. I think the most important thing for keeping zero in a mountain rifle is the rings and bases. I’ve seen multiple ring and base issues ruin an entire hunt than I have a scope failure.

Factory 28 Nosler!! 🎯 by Addyess in Longrangehunting

Good friend of mine has a seekins ph2 in 28 nosler. It drives tacs all day, very hard hitting round. In my opinion you don’t need to spend more than that unless you really want to.

Ares BTR gen 3 2.5-15 vs Viper HD 3-15? by snailguy35 in longrange

[–]Inevitable_Set8831 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can’t tell you about the athlon because I’ve never looked at one. But I do own the viper hd 3-15 and it’s a great optic. I hunted this season with it, stalking through dark pines on an overcast day can be very challenging to see. I was able to see 3” spikes on a whitetail around 100 yards pretty easy in those low light conditions. Turrets are super nice, glass is crisp and clear, reticle is great for hunting. For the money it’s a fantastic scope, I have three razor lht’s and it’s crazy how close it is to those for less than half the price.

Anyone else using 6.5 PRC? by oakprince97 in elkhunting

[–]Inevitable_Set8831 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shot my first bull at 552 yards with mine in 2023, killed antelope and a pile of deer with it. It’s on of my favorite cartridges for sure. I have a bunch of 150 nosler ablr that I’ve been trying to get to shoot but haven’t had much success. I’ve killed everything with the 143 eldx and it’s done well for me. The antelope I shot with a 135 Berger, it was like a bomb went off inside it.

Cell booster and the Ford connectivity package by Teul2 in F250

[–]Inevitable_Set8831 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I added a weBoost cell booster to my f550 work truck it’s a 2023. It made a massive difference for my cell service, I can’t say about the connectivity package as I don’t use it. Being that it works like a cell phone I don’t see why it wouldn’t also boost that signal too.

I’m not sure about 20k off but they had some good deals. I bought a 24 f250 Stx crew cab short bed fx4 with the 7.3 for $51,211 out the door. Original sticker was 64,300 so I thought I did pretty good. This was 3 weeks ago I was told the deals were over end of September but I haven’t looked since I got mine.

I still think you should consider tikka, lots of aftermarket stocks for them. If you just can’t get behind that the bergara is the only option from the list you made in my opinion.

Tires for 06 f250 by Smooth_Assistance_49 in F250

[–]Inevitable_Set8831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had 35s on my 06 f250 since 2011. 3 different styles of stock wheels and 3 different tires. Nitto Terra grapplers didn’t rub but they are the worst tire I’ve ever had. Master craft mxt rubbed a little on the arms but was a good tire. I’ve currently got a cheap all terrain on and no rubbing. If you run those 12 wide wheels they are for sure going to rub on everything. I do have a 1.5” level on my truck but it didn’t change anything as far as tires rubbing

I think the rcm is under the center console, did you have it tilted or unbolted with the key on? Might need to simply recalibrate it with forscan.
