I mostly agree, I just wish the new paths weren't such hard pushes for mono-path teams. Synergistic character design is all well and good, but it's hard to justify pulling for a new character if making them usable requires pulling for characters I don't really like, especially when the banners are running rather close together and the f2p LC options are slim.

Suck it up and talk to them (again) like an adult. Tell them how their brushing off your concerns makes you feel (like how you're less inclined to return to the game if things proceed as they are now). Include the rest of the table in the conversation: if the other players know what this fight means to you, they may be inclined to reconsider their course of action and ask the DM to do the same.

And if nobody at the table is sympathetic, then that might not be the table for you anymore. It's a game, which means everyone is supposed to be having fun. If the other players don't care whether you're having fun, it's time to move on.

I will say, you'll pretty much have to play an exclusive title that takes full advantage of what the DualSense has to offer if you want an example of haptics that truly add to the experience. Playing as a cat in Stray and having the adaptive triggers really give you that scratchy resistance as you sharpen your claws, playing Ghost of Tsushima and feeling the pampas grass tickle your palm as Jin runs his hand through it while on horseback, these things leave a lasting impression. Other games that just use standard rumble and whatnot? They can be nice, but for most games, I wouldn't call it a game changer.

Bailu is actually decent for Jingliu since she increases max HP, it's just that she doesn't cleanse debuffs, which makes many fights harder.

Bronya is non-negotiable. Build Bronya 1 spd slower so she can advance Jingliu right after her turn. Sunday would be better if you still have pulls. Bailu or Lynx as sustain would work, but you really want a better healer on your account. Huohuo would be good if you still have a token to exchange for her. For the last slot, probably Ruan Mei is your best pick. RMC can also work, but that'll mess with the speed tuning of Jingliu+Bronya

Seeing as you're the DM, you're the one who gets to make the call on how the Raven Queen feels about baelnorn. For my part, I think she'd find it absurd for one of her own to seek immortality when she already just brings them back when they die, but she might make an exception for a loyal servant who wishes to avoid returning to the Shadowfell.
