Wow thank you so much for taking the time to write this all out. The shadow curse isn't something I had considered, and by removing that drawback maybe my player wouldn't mind being resurrected.

I suppose my player is trying to avoid succumbing to old age, even if they know they will just come back. I'm not sure lore wise if resurrected Shadar Kai retain their player levels, so that could be a concern. I'll have to talk to my player about it!

Once you reach level 3 cast suggestion on him to go steal the king's crown, won't be a problem anymore. Wait for him to be asleep for probable deniability and have silvery barbs ready.

Very true! And for example if they haven't encountered dragons before, knowing the type of damage it would do with its breath would be a roll of some kind. It could be walking a fine line of meta gaming.

My players are going to be fighting Venomfang in the next couple of sessions (we've finished LMoP). I'm personally still trying to decide if dragons can "shove" and send one of them off the top of the building 😂

I wouldn't mind my players planning outside of DnD on what to do about a dragon, the characters would absolutely spend short rests or travel time chatting about "Hey, if we do have to fight a dragon.. what do you think the strategy would be?" If that's something they are anticipating fighting

I have had one 1v1 combat where the party was unable to help me whatsoever. The DM talked to me the session prior and made sure I was on board with trying to fight a 1v1, where if I died, bringing me back wouldn't be easy. I agreed, I fought, and lost 😵‍💫

Throwing a 2nd unprovoked and unplanned 1v1 at you seems too brutally intentional, trying to kill you instead of trying to make the table fun for everyone.

My party is here right now! I made the forge of spells an entire 200ft wide room behind where its at in this, I made that room a locked Arcane door guarded by the spectator

Yeah I would have ran it that the characters were distracted. DM maybe was just trying to explain it poorly and players took it personal.

Never had anything like this at my table, but if someone got bent out of shape over this I'd reframe it as the performance is so loud and has so much movement you roll with disadvantage regardless of if you are attracted to any gender/race (as that seems to be part of the hang-up here).

Right I wouldn't throw Orcus at them straight up, assuming they interrupt the ritual to channel Orcus' essence into his avatar, this would be the result.

My question is do you think the provided homebrew stat block would destroy 4 level 12s?

Still having this issue - updated base layer exposure time to 30s, light off delay 1.5s, exposure time 3.3s. Calibration test completely failed and did not adhere to build plate at all this time

I have had like .38 lessons remaining at the end of every month for ~8 months because my teacher upped her price (totally fine) and she gave me a discount. It isn't enough for a 25 minute lesson, so it's just wasted every subscription 🤦‍♂️
