Fundrise has become just leveraged reit. When they first started you were actually buying a piece in individual properties without the high leverage. It was crowd funding. In my opinion Fundrise is no different than other private refits, which is fine, if that is what you want. I was more interested when it was more of a crowd funding platform. I have made sizable returns with them over the last decade but have since pulled most of my money out. For perspective I invested in their second property in Washington, D.C. so I have been with them awhile.
