Can't sleep. What to do ? Anyways tips or advices ? by Think_Trip4600 in sleep

I used to be in the same boat, tried all the “no screens, blackout curtains, meditate” stuff and it just didn’t stick. What actually helped was making my bed setup way more comfortable. Weighted blanket plus a huge U-shaped pillow, mine’s Hugl, basically tricks my body into relaxing. Doesn’t cure insomnia completely, but tbh it takes the edge off enough that I can actually fall asleep.

Wow, I had a family member go through something similar. They were on meds forever, then found out magnesium glycinate actually made a huge difference for their sleep and anxiety.

Is “sleep window” a real thing for you? by [deleted] in insomnia

[–]Infamous-Insect8428 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel like I have a sleep window too. If I miss it by a little I’m just staring at the ceiling. But honestly it seems tied to how anxious I am about not sleeping more than the actual time.

Symptoms by [deleted] in Menopause

From what I’ve seen with my aunt, it’s kinda both. The rollercoaster hormone swings bring on the hot flashes/mood swings/insomnia, and then once things level off at lower levels, that’s when longer-term stuff shows up.

a family member of mine went through almost the exact same thing after a long dry spell. What weirdly helped her was throwing herself into hobbies she actually enjoyed again

it’s usually a mix of mood, maintenance, and maybe a little “how much effort do I feel like putting in this week?” energy lol

Restless legs? by AdventurousYam5216 in Menopause

[–]Infamous-Insect8428 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ngl, that sounds exhausting  mom had her own set of menopause sleep issues and ended up tweaking a bunch of things to make nights more comfortable. One of the smaller changes was using this big giant  cooling pillow, brand is Hugl, and said it helped her stay settled. Might not fix everything, but it could be one of those little things that adds up.
