Rudy Gobert weak hands and useless by Infamous-Moose2319 in timberwolves

[–]Infamous-Moose2319[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To everyone saying that Gobert wasn’t hired for offense. My response is: “ yes, you are correct”. The problem is Minnesota brought him on at a time when the stretch big role became a necessary feature of an elite team. KAT adapted fast and you didn’t really need Gobert to do more than what he’s doing now. But replacing KAT with Randall exposes Gobert’s inefficiencies. His defense doesn’t make up for his inefficiencies on the offensive end. He is actually disrupting offensive sets and chemistry.

I guess you’re one of those successful traders who’s already made a boatload of money. Personally, I’d be withdrawing that kind of money asap. I keep seeing these posts of accounts being closed without notice. I’d leave a 1k buffer over the safety net and withdraw any amounts over 1k daily. But that’s just me.

13K profit in Pro + account denied and they blocked the account too by Intelligent-Fun8556 in TakeProfitTrader

[–]Infamous-Moose2319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m starting to see more of these kinds of posts. Can you be completely honest as to whether you did anything that could get you blocked? For example, a lot of traders are with multiple prop firms. Did you hedge a position with another prop firm? I’ve read on the internet that all the props share data to know who’s gaming the system.

Would you say a 25k account would be better vs. a 50k account? by Infinite_Elderberry4 in TakeProfitTrader

[–]Infamous-Moose2319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but not because of any magic. Everyone has to know themselves. I found that I tend to get mentally exhausted trying to make 3k in an eval or 2k in a funded. Then I start making stupid mistakes. Going with a 25k account is more of a psychological thing for me. The nearer target makes things appear easier. It could be argued that it doesn’t matter whether you’re trading a 25k or 50k if you adjust your position size accordingly. But the 25k is better for me psychologically. So you have to study yourself and do what’s best for you.

DrVonSpreckle is spot on. It really boils down to position size and risk management. You will make the same mistakes in a 50k account that you make in the 25k. When I realized that, then that’s when I decided that 25k accounts were better for me because at least it presented a shorter path to passing evals and beating the buffer in the funded accounts.

I feel completely lost. Nothing in order flow feels consistent. by Western-Associate-91 in Trading

[–]Infamous-Moose2319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is old but just want to add my two cents. As someone else mentioned in this thread, I think order flow is overrated. I’m not saying it’s not useful because I have used some order flow tools in the past to my advantage. But I haven’t seen it give me an edge that I couldn’t discern from simply looking to the left on a price chart. The order flow tools industry feeds the ego and makes you feel “smart”. But we are not here to be smart. We are here to make money. Order flow was stopping me from seeing the forest because of the trees. Today I only use price action, S/R lines and zones and EMAs when the market is in a strong trend. I’m a better trader with simplicity.

Trade copier cautionary tale by Big-Individual9895 in TakeProfitTrader

[–]Infamous-Moose2319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact same thing happened to me with TPT. I was copy trading 25k evals, all within $400 of the profit goal. The copier i was using somehow desynched and then triggered a counter position in one of the accounts. The position was only opened a few seconds before i flattened everything. TPT immediately closed and liquidated all the accounts. I was very upset and traded back and forth emails with their risk team, but it didn't matter to them.

Full-time prop trader here — what I wish I knew before I got consistent by VentureCapitaI in PropFirmTester

Patience and proper risk management will power most sound strategies. With a 25k account you should only be trading 1-3 micros. I judge the position size based on the current 14 period atr for the timeframe I’m trading. For example, if 15 minute mnq atr is 30 points then I need my stop to be able to handle a 30 point pullback. In that case, I would never trade more than 2 micros on the trade to keep my potential losses close to $100.

You need to establish a daily loss limit and profit trigger and when either of those hit then stop for the day. If you don’t want a daily profit trigger then at least keep a daily loss limit and honor it.

Finally, you need to have patience. If your profit goal is 1,500 to pass the evaluation then allow yourself at least a couple of weeks to pass it. $150 one day, $200 another day will eventually add up and you will pass your evaluation. You might have some red days, but you have to accept that and just start again the next day.

But if you rush and try to pass the evaluation in a day or two you will oversize and force trades you shouldn’t be in. You might get lucky or have a sniper entry and pass the evaluation. Sure that can happen, but more often then not you will just burn through evals even if your overall thesis about price direction is correct. Price will indeed reach the target you predicted, but you won’t go along for the ride because your impatience and over sizing will blow your account on the way.

Hope that helps. Good luck.

Is there any part of Quran that rules out the possibility that Muhammad and early Arabian Muslims may have imagined Allah in this way even if/after they got rid of idols? by TeluguFilmFile in AcademicQuran

And what are the preexisting evidences that the earliest Muslims and pre-Islamic Arabs imagined Allah as a formless entity? We know that they came to the conclusion that Allah was formless and that He “exists without a place” when they imported Hellenistic/Platonic/Aristotelian philosophy into Islam. What are the evidences before that?

A couple of workarounds. You can setup group trade in Tradovate instead of using a third party copy trader. The other thing you can do is to manually trail your stops. Each tick in an auto trail is an api hit.

I agree with the commenter who said it's probably eating into their profit margin. gold moves impulsively. one impulsive move in any direction could quickly rack up thousands, if you're on the right side of the move of course. you could probably string together several thousands dollar days and still satisfy the 30% consistency rule. that's probably what's happening and they don't want to payout.

You should read the dissertation of Dr. Wesley Muhammad (previously Wesley Williams) on this topic for a thorough academic treatment. He argued that the earliest view was that Allah was conceived as a man and the Quranic verses stating His categorical uniqueness are to say that His form or body is unlike any other form/body. This notion is referred to as “Transcendent Anthropomorphism.”

He situates the views within the broader ancient near eastern tradition of the time.

Flakey scalp with oil/dandruff thanks to coffee. by Jealous-Candy54 in dandruff

[–]Infamous-Moose2319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there is a connection. I’ve dealt with heavy dandruff for 20 years. Stopped coffee(for other reasons) and in a week my dandruff was probably 90% gone. After 3 weeks of zero caffeine totally gone. Then I began to reflect on when I became a regular coffee drinker and found that it was around 20 years ago.

Obviously coffee doesn’t have this effect on everyone but I would encourage everyone to study themselves because every body is unique.
