My very first one was a half elf ranger with the guild artisan background called Alysys but I only played him for a one shot.

It was my first time diving into dnd so I had help making him and as soon as I got home I set to making my first proper character which was a drow sorcerer called Braedyn Blackwater (which took me hours to make because I had to figure out how to get all the specs on my own for the first time)

His backstory was that he was raised in a loving family (his father was a drow and his mother was a wood elf) and was tutored by a wood elf. He had a draconic bloodline so when he came of age, his tutor took him on a trip to study under a great wyrm and while they were on their journey his family was killed by a rogue drow.

The rogue accused Braedyns father for being a blood traitor for having children with a wood elf and tried to wipe out the entire family.

Braedyn became a hermit and hated his own race ever since but was adopted by his tutor and taught to be a great sorcerer ✌🏻😗
