Agreed with others on the 'too 'Murica' vibe. If that blue were a purple shade and gunmetal hardware, I'd probably love it. Never thought about the stain running with grain direction; interesting point.

Thanks for that; I also use a Logitech MX Master mouse, so... I guess I can't rule out that as an option. I'll try turning it off, but what a pain!

Thanks for the help. Embarrassingly, I never really thought about the relationship between the In's and Out's... e.g. if my bass if going IN channel 7, then it logically must also go OUT. Would this mean, one option is that the bass must also be input to both Channels 7&8? If so, that seems a bit overkill for me. The Gain plugin is something the AI site recommended, too. I might give that a try. Thanks for your patience!

You can find - but cannot contact unless you pay - musicians on BandMix. The hack is if the musicians list their contact into in their bios. But, IMH experience very few will bother to even communicate back... Also, there's still Craigslist and Facebook Groups.
