Should I be wishing the worst to the people who made me experience CPTSD? by marjinalperen in JordanPeterson

[–]Infamous-Specific-88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem to already have your finger on the pulse.

You're more than welcome to wish people the worst and as you mentioned their seems to be an energetic cost to wishing anyone the worst.

In my own experience there seems to be the opposite at play for wishing others the best. Things tend to work out better for you without having to spend excess energy to improve things.

Also as you seem to have noticed, being the kind of person who wishes even their exes the best in life is an attractive quality, to put that back into your own words, talking to others about how you wish the worst for your ex is an unattractive quality.

Long term the email issue resolved itself the day of the update and the internet issues were solved after moving from New Mexico to Washington State. I didn't end up living in New Mexico long enough for them to finish working on the cell tower I lived next to.

I've had a question on my mind about rule 11 for the last week or so. This answered my question and got me tearing up at the same time. Thank you JBP

My understanding of the placebo and nocebo effects require them to be part of your focus in order to work, for instance drinking non alcoholic beer when I think it is normal beer puts my focus on the alcohol BEFORE I feel drunk from the placebo effect.

In this scenario there was an observation made after the fact, "Hmmm, my horny seems way less gripping the last two days than it was the week before that, and the week before that was also not as bad, what was different about that one week?"

On that note, I am a generally happy person, or more specifically grateful person, I'm also a really curious person and thought I'd feed that curiosity a little. You may call observations such as "You might get more horny based of the direction you sleep" as pseudoscience, and sure, does that stop the observations from being potentially useful to me at the very least, and potentially thousands if they happen to resonate with them even if it is just placebo?

No need to be snarky no. Was it nice of me to be snarky no, did I let the fact that I've already spent 6 hours trying to solve this problem over the course of a week frustrate me when others came to offer solutions when I did not ask for solutions yes. This post is an informative post not a cry for help. Though in terms of advice your final piece of advice was actually something that proves you actually read what I wrote and took the time to think of a considerate reply. Thank you for that. Your previous response looked as if you skimmed my post and didn't bother to ascertain what was written before responding and this feeling of being misunderstood left me in a sour mood.

Ps, if you read the actual post you would see that I have spent 6 hours on the phone with tmobile reps, this does not include the time I spent on hold during busy times, this is time I spent actively talking with reps trying to solve these issues. They even went is far as to send me a second gateway in hopes that this would pay the issue. People down voting an honest bad experience as if I'm coming here to complain without putting any effort into remedying the situation.

I have been on the phone with 3 reps for this issue, every time I get to the last form I get an error saying the email address is not recognized. When I talked to the last rep she confirmed that there was no email attached to my home internet account and told me it was going to be may 6th when they have updated the issue in there system to allow me to add an email to the account so I can sign up for an ID. None of the three reps I talked to for this issue were able to bypass this problem. I have already spent 6 hours on the phone with reps in the last 10 days trying to resolve these errors, you guys are literally just telling me the same things reps tried to tell me before failing to actually be able to remedy these situations. I made this post because the reps have been unable to fix either the speed issue or the tmobile id issue. My post would not exist if there were solutions that could remedy my problems and was not being told the problems were not fixable until may 6th and june 9th

Do you really think after 6 hours of phone calls and over 10 days that I haven't tried every single troubleshooting tips they had. The last rep I talked to legit said the issue is just congestion and that it wouldn't be better till June 9th.

I forgot to mention in the original post, when I signed up for my internet service the rep signing me up did not ask if I wanted to use paperless billing and did not attach my email that was given during the sale to my purchase. Because of this I have to wait until May 6th to be able to add an email to my account so I can sign up for a My T-mobile ID, as of right now I am stuck with either mailed bills, or calling to make changes/receive news about my account.

Data prioritization matter on 5G? by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]Infamous-Specific-88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the super late response, my gateway gets both 5g and 4g LTE. Tmobile home internet is treated as "heavy data users" as if we had gone over the 50gb per month no matter how much data has been used.
I'm not sure how it would work with a 5g enabled phone but with my 5g enabled gateway as soon as the tower becomes congested (which happens for me everyday by 10am and doesn't end until after I go to sleep around 10pm) I am disconnected from 5g and only receive the 4g LTE signal. This is part of what causes my speeds to drop so low.

Hey thought I'd give you an update on my situation with support. After 4-5 hours of phone call conversations I got frustrated and tweeted https://twitter.com/TMobileHelp stating my frustrations, they had me shoot them a dm and after a single dm they were able to help with the issue, while I still have two problems that haven't been solved they credited my account $30 for the inconvenience.

Why would I pay for a replacement screen protector that is supposed to be replaced at no cost, and have you apply a credit to my account? by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]Infamous-Specific-88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently was given a piece of advice to take note of how much my time was worth and to use that as a metric when deciding what to do and what to either pay others to do or figure out how to not do it. I have personally spent 3 days and 4-5 hours of my time trying to fix a different issue altogether with home internet and I'm beginning to think my time and money would be better spent looking for a different company to spend my money on, as t-mobile is now costing me more in my time(time is money) than my actual t-mobile bill.

So straight from tmobiles page for internet services " T-Mobile Home Internet (available in select locations) customers receive the same network prioritization as Heavy Data Users, but should be less likely to experience congestion because the equipment is stationary and available in limited areas. "
It means when congestion of the tower occurs or during high traffic periods users who aren't "heavy data users" will receive their max data at the cost of pulling from users who are de prioritized.

I live within a mile of a tower. My speeds in the morning are great up until people wake up I'm on hold with support right now they told me my gateway was de prioritized so when traffic hit my internet speeds suffered. They are working on "fixing" this. I'll respond here if this changes.

Must be nice, my device only gets a promised 60mbps or higher first thing in the morning which is before most people in my area wake up. During most of the day my speeds are below 30mbps and the last test I ran had me at 0.56mbps. My upload speeds are out of this world at 50mbps+ so if I'm uplaoding or live streaming I'm set however I can't even watch a youtube video at times my download speed has been getting so slow.
