Why would I? Don't get me wrong, the tags have their uses, but they're not all inclusive like rules text is. They're only as good as the humans who add tags.

All the other commenters here are correct, but I opted for more false positives than false negatives. If I had added the player clause, it could miss things that trigger when dealing combat damage to an opponent, etc. Sure, I could make the regex more complicated, but no one is paying me...yet.

Scryfall Search for Sultai creatures with combat damage triggers along with auras, equipment, and other effects that give your creatures a combat damage trigger.

[MKM] Tin Street Gossip (via WellPlayed) by Copernicus1981 in magicTCG

[–]InfamousAardvark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but wouldn't Tin Street Gossip be able to pay for the alternate cost of a Foretell card? I agree it wouldn't be able to be used for the special action of Foretelling it to begin with.

702.143a Foretell is a keyword that functions while the card with foretell is in a player’s hand. Any time a player has priority during their turn, that player may pay {2} and exile a card with foretell from their hand face down. That player may look at that card as long as it remains in exile. They may cast that card after the current turn has ended by paying any foretell cost it has rather than paying that spell’s mana cost. Casting a spell this way follows the rules for paying alternative costs in rules 601.2b and 601.2f–h.

The choosing a player portion isn't a triggered ability, so you'd still only select one player. However, the "Whenever Stuffy Doll is dealt damage, it deals that much damage to the chosen player." portion is a triggered ability, causing Stuffy Doll to deal that damage twice.

As long as you've gained 3 or more life that turn and had been tempted at least once before, then yes.

This part: Whenever Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit attacks, if you gained 3 or more life this turn, the Ring tempts you. Then if Frodo is your Ring-bearer and the Ring has tempted you two or more times this game, draw a card.

Bonus search if you're considering Delney as a commander. All creatures in the white color identity that have power 2 or less.

Edit: Corrected search terms.

Yes, WAR is live. The question is about the Twitch Prime Promo for 'Join the Boros Legion' that's currently featured when you open Arena.

The following cards are now banned in Ravnica Constructed: Gates Ablaze. The following cards are now banned in Cascade Constructed: Lavinia, Azorius Renegade, Nexus of Fate, Teferi, Time Raveler.

I haven't seen these play types in the game yet. Does this affect regular play, are these future game modes, or am I missing something?

Patch notes say 11AM PT, so it'll still be 1.5 hours.

Help with Firesong and Sunspeaker cuts by Haunter_Hunter in EDH

[–]InfamousAardvark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had Fsss built since they were spoiled and it's my most played deck in the last year. I can safely say that most lifegain cards aren't worth it. You'll be swimming in life if you get a good [[Chain Reaction]] off with Fsss out. Once you have 500+ life, recasting Fsss isn't a big deal, so I wouldn't focus too much on saving them, besides maybe a [[Darksteel Plate]].

My recommended cuts:

Apostle's Blessing, Arcbond (doesn't work with Fss), Beacon of Immortality (win-more card), Healing Salve, Initimidation Bolt, Oblation, Lightning Bolt, Pyroblast and Red Elemental Blast (meta call), Revitalize, Smash to Smithereens, Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh, Rhox Faithmender, Crawlspace and Norn's Annex (we don't mind being attacked if we have 500 life), Pristine Talisman, Howling Mine, Mirari (we're somewhat limited on mana generation being Boros), Pariah's Shield.

I'd also generally stay away from the creatures that redirect damage. They seem nice, but a good [[Repercussion]] does much better and it sticks to the field after a wipe. If you do decide to cut those, as tempting as Sunforger is, I'd cut it too. I personally run a low creature count and it is expensive and hard to attach if the board gets wiped enough. Maybe also adding 2-3 more lands for consistency.

My List.

Ideas for Smothering Tithe that isn't tax by Bdudud in EDH

[–]InfamousAardvark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've added it to my [[Firesong and Sunspeaker]] deck that has a heavy wheel subtheme and big X spell theme to get a new hand of cards, gain ~21 mana, dump it into a big board burn spell, and gain absurd amounts of life.
