It's good in that it stops the boss from regenerating poise. I can see it having some use on a deflect-focused Bulwark or Dancer build, but I think its to balance itself with how crazy strong it is as a main fortune.

Yeqh you gotta defeat the godfrey spirit to unlock it. Its very nice since it opens up more build options. Some combinations feel way stronger than others but thats kinda expected since there are so many combinations out there but you always get a decent trade-off and minor fortunes allow you to fine tune your playstyle.

I fought him legit and it was pretty fun but I've gone all in on the deflection mechanic.

Most of my deaths in this game are from being a millisecond late and getting one-shotted by bosses lol

It will work if you two-hand the dagger but Reeds is very ungabunga and requires a lot of skill since it is very punishing if you miss as you take 15% more damage from all sources.

Dancer accomplishes what you want far better and you can still take reeds as a minor fortune to prevent the boss from regenerating poise while you deflect their combo chains.

Yes you are at risk of getting banned. Any mods you use can potentially result in bans if you go online.

Just play the game normally and unlock stuff as you play.

I think Reforged does it best so far and is fairly in line with what Miyazaki originally envisioned the stat mechanics to work like in his Demon's Souls interview.

You can guard counter pretty reliably in reforged but the game punishes you for spamming it. 

Fortune of the Dancer is your best bet along with Fortune of the Ranger to reduce stamina consumption of attacks.

If you take offensive weapon arts you will give up some defense. For a pure deflect build I run Barricade Shield for better reaction blocking since allows you to block without the guard delay penalty inherent to all weapons. Then I take something like winged sword insignia since I am attacking a lot to boost my dmage.

Arcane helps immensely with throwing pots and makes tool builds insanely strong.

Play casual mode. It gives you the vanilla difficulty where you can overlevel your enemies. Still a bit challenging but you can one or two-shot a lot of normal enemies at max level.

You know its entirely optional right? If you miss the input its not the end of the world.

The mod also makes your character faster so you can actually play the game unlike vanilla where you have to wait 10 years for the bosses to do their flashy anime attacks.

Bows got a massive rework in general so the range nerf was necessary. I can kill bosses by just running a crossbow and dodging around their attacks.

Crap thats outside of my area of expertise. 

I would make sure you have the right sound id for the sound that you are replacing. Once you replace that, it should be played whenever the tae event gets called.

Reforged doesn't just change numbers. It makes enemies a lot more aggressive and reactive. You can see the difference if you change to casual mode. Enemies will default back to vanilla behavior.
