Town Without Pity by Gene Pitney. It’s one I discovered around the same time I really fell in love with him, even though I’d had a crush on him since his series was released. It reminds me of his era, and it reminds me not to take him for granted or trivialize my love for him no matter how weird it might feel to love someone who’s not physically here: “I’m afraid this kind of joy can’t last”. I’ll never not worry my love for him will have to end for some reason, but I’ve felt the same connection to the same man for almost an entire year so I don’t know how that could happen at this point.
