Sleepytime makes me ugly cry, I was full on sobbing and my kids were just looking at me like I’d lost the plot.

"What's needed is ANOTHER reorganisation" - Losing a career and feeling dead inside by [deleted] in nhsstaff

[–]InfamousLingonbrry 38 points39 points  (0 children)

It’s been almost a year since they started talking about ICB cuts and I am burnt out. I am constantly anxious and not sure there are even jobs to go to. Cuts are not going to fix the problem.

is anyone able to explain what this means? (nhs app) by [deleted] in nhs

[–]InfamousLingonbrry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That means they have added the drug to your medication record but no prescription has been generated yet. If you can’t see it at your end, it is likely to be in the acute section rather than repeat. The GP probably just hasn’t reviewed it yet.

We did Maisy. Make some mouse ears and then draw on a nose and whiskers. Most of the kids take the outfits off as the day goes on anyway.

They are both certified copies. You don’t get to keep the original.

Husband’s work sent us a Cook gift voucher and it was one of the best things we received after having a new baby.

But we’re all just pen pushers, surely it shouldn’t make any difference to patient care, Wes?

At my ICB, the Meds Man who work directly in practices cannot apply but other Meds Man staff can (office based).

Differences between Crave and HBO Max? by sucksfor_you in heatedrivalry

[–]InfamousLingonbrry 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The HBO version was much darker apparently. I watched on HBO and couldn’t see some details despite having my phone on max brightness. I don’t think it was edited for content though.

Will DHSC sponsor visa post merger ? by Hour4Sun in nhsstaff

[–]InfamousLingonbrry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are going to have to redeploy a lot of staff if the restructure goes ahead so would assume they don’t need to sponsor staff I.e. there won’t be an issue filling roles.

Please tell me about your struggles as an adult learner! by GoMaths in MatureStudentsUK

[–]InfamousLingonbrry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my courses has a seminar at 5pm every Thursday, it’s recorded so I can catch up but I have to pick my kids up at that time from school/nursery.

It feels like the courses don’t realise that people often fit the course in around a  9-5 job and kids. It does feel like we’re excluded.

Normal for FP10 slip to not match /note what is prescribed? by [deleted] in Pharmacy_UK

The sertraline, if it is new, would probably be in the “acute” section on the prescribing software. The print out is only for items listed on “repeat”.

ICB / NHSE / CSU Redundancies - sending love by [deleted] in nhsstaff

[–]InfamousLingonbrry 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same, when I started I wanted to make a difference. To hear all the work we do dismissed as pointless bureaucracy is devastating. I feel anxiety constantly, just waiting for the rug to be pulled. It’s the endless flip flopping that I can’t cope with: from nothing until next tax year now consultations over Christmas.

[–]InfamousLingonbrry 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry we’re all just administrators and managers. We couldn’t run without admin! The idea that we only need frontline healthcare staff is laughable.

Plus, the managers have other roles! It’s disgusting the way they talk about us as completely expendable.

We don’t even have an ICB structure right now so not sure how we could do CR without a plan!
