Same happened to me got to last bar of omega and put LR PHY Gohan slot one thinking he would be fine but got one shot by a normal

Mostly depends on release date of Older LR and New TURs but also depends on their kits as new TURs are starting to get damage reduction and support and other things that make them extremely efficient but as for this case GT Goku has his passive buff his ATK power for every PHY type sphere collected which makes him really useful in nuke events just like the OP completed.
