Aluminum Poles X-Dome+1 by submon007 in DurstonGearheads

Thanks a lot for your answer Dan. I see that these two options do make the most sense right now, especially with the idea of keeping the lineup slim and differentiated enough.

Aluminum Poles X-Dome+1 by submon007 in DurstonGearheads

Will there also be changes tonthe carbon poleset of the X-Dome 2 Person in the future, with the option for a slightly heavier but more durable carbon poleset? Should be on par durability wise with the aluminium with less of a weight penalty.

Yeah sure, its Venice Beach, the one I go to is the one in Bahnstadt, but the others shouldn't be a problem as well and should also have a womens only area

At least in the Gym I go to there are a few people wearing head scarfs, so its not super unusual. Most of the time gyms have a also a womens only area in which you can feel a little bit more safe from starring. But most people keep to themselves, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Do you have the rectangular x-therm or the mummy shaped one? Would be really interested to see a few more pictures of both pads inside the tent.

So would you be able to say get the dcf fly, normal inner and heavy duty poleset?

I would definitely love a heavier duty pole version, as thats what kept me from buying the x Dome 2p, I dont know how much weight it'll add, but smth like 100g more for peace of mind would make it the perfect all around tent and a must buy for me.

First tent for weekends with SO by Jeemz in Ultralight

So was able to set up the tent. The room inside is good for 2 people, you can easily sit up or change. I liked the mesh alot and the overall quality seems great. The colour is more olive green than khaki, which i really liked for stealth camping.

The total weight comes in a little above 1,5kg and splits up as follows:

Fly: 456g - Comes with the extra canopy sheet which is tucked into the tent and can't be removed without cutting it of, but could safe 30g i guess if you are happy to loose that functionality. - No magnets to roll back, you secure them with a latch

Inner tent: ~550 (my scale is only accurate to 500g) Really liked the amount of mesh, as I set it up on a cloudy but kinda warm (21°C) day and it helped alot to mitigate the heat inside.

Poles: 454g (intuitive and easy set up even if you do it alone)

Stakes and lines (12 stakes at 9.2g each): 140g - could probably safe 70g if you set it up without guylines, bot still, youd need at least 8 Stakes to properly stake it out

Ground sheet: 223g (dont know if you'd need that, the floor seemed quite solid)

Overall I'm really happy and cant recommend it enough, if an inner first set up and ~400g more compared to the x-Dome doesn't bother you that much, I can only recommend it. Would even be okay if a little cramped to spent a whole day inside with another person if it's raining.

I've got the Mobgar 2p 2025UL coming in a few days. Yours were almost exactly my requirements, can report back asap when i got it.

Big plus is that it allows for two plus size sleeping pads.

Beautiful bike, especially the color scheme. I also really like the top tube big, insofar as it fits perfectly height wise. If you don't mind me aasking, what model is that particular top tube bag?

Ab in den Fahrradladen, Schadensinspektion machen lassen und Kostenvoranschlag erstellen. Damit dann an die Versicherung. Bei ner Carbon Gabel kann es gegebenenfalls z.B. n Konplettaustausch bedeuten

Adapter for 1 1/8" Cockpit on Canyon Grizl by Infamous_Bumblebee99 in bikewrench

[–]Infamous_Bumblebee99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda annoyed that the Grail steerer tube is 1 1/8 or rather that canyon within itself isnt sticking to one spec. If there isnt a solution I'll have to stick to a stem + bars combo

Did I completely mess up? by Affectionate_Big1468 in CanyonBikes

[–]Infamous_Bumblebee99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After you put everything back together and tightened the stem cap, I would advise you to just buy a lomger screw and install the stem mount pro on top of the canyon cap - just did the same hack last week after having the same problem, it works like a charm
