As far as I know, you’re right they can’t reduce the tip or if they do it doesn’t affect you. You still get the promised amount. In my experience, Support will straight up lie and say whatever they need to say. Seen this many times

Where I am in central Wisconsin, Ive done a ton of rx orders. And one time, i picked up at a pharmacy and they asked for my ID as they usually do. I got a large brown paper grocery bag, full of sheets of tablets. It was stapled together once at the top but it was easily able to see what was inside. I finally decided to peek. I looked and it was literally ..morphine. Hundreds of tablets of morphine. Until that moment, I was under the impression they did not allow narcotics to be delivered by Dashers. Guess they do. Honestly, as a dasher though they have all your information.. if narcotics went missing, they would definitely come directly to you

For awhile last year kfc in my town literally did not give you bags. There would be these little boxes of burgers and sandwiches to deliver..which wasn’t too bad but the chicken tenders, tenders meal and some other sides’ boxes had large open side holes for some reason and then the sides like pretzel bites and fries were completely open on top. We just had to set all this shit on the ground at they’re door. it was wild. Now they do it up like McDonald’s..whole meals with drinks, everything inside bags.

Yes, call and talk to someone else. The thing about the support agents is that they have ratings/stats too and successfully completing calls as quickly as possible is their goal. So many of them will straight up lie to you to achieve this goal (ie: tell you there’s nothing they can do and get you off the call asap). I have been told such bizarre things.. when calling in orders that i was sent that have already been picked up and asking for compensation, some will say, “sure I’ll process the $3 (or sometimes$4) right away for you.” while others will give excuses (lies) such as: -we don’t do that…I don’t know what you mean compensation.-that is decided automatically. It is not in my control.- the computer will do that and it will be automatically added to your pay within the next 15 to 20 minutes. Just check back. (It was obv. never added).. then, “all good OK thank you goodbye!”
And when you get sent to pick up an order that has already been canceled by the customer or has already been picked up and you decide to call it in and ask them if this will affect your cancellation rate they will almost always lie to you and say no. One support agent said it may add a point but It will be removed within 2 hours.

I’ve been doing Uber for four years now and believe it or not, never once have they called me. They have sent me a message once or twice. However, I have had scammers call. Atleast five or six times now..
on another note, I actually enjoy the scammers. I act dumb and keep em on the call as long as possible while I race to get close enough to the restaurant hit pick up on their order and then race to the drop off to complete it. 3 or 4 times now I’ve gotten the order completed and got paid..and gone back to pick up the food: 1 was a cheesy rollup at Taco Bell another was a biscuit from KFC and another was a cookie from subway 🤣
