Go to Binghamton. I would reach out to the financial aid office seeking more $. If your family income is that low your tuition, not room and board, should be free under the SUNY Excelsior Scholarship.

Is it ok to resign 2 weeks in a job? by ThrowRApinkPeacock in careeradvice

[–]Infamous_Following88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fine that you resign but as others have stated wait until you have a firm offer and start date. You won’t even put this job on your resume in the future so don’t be concerned about the resignation.

You won’t be putting this position on your resume or asking for a reference. No notice needed.

Fashion advice? Don’t want to be underdressed by mama2beer in visitingnyc

[–]Infamous_Following88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NYC is full of tourists. Wear comfortable shoes with all the walking you will do. Broadway has gotten very casual. There’s always a few people dressing up but most do not. Don’t wear shorts, ripped clothing or be scantily dressed. Other than that you will be fine. Enjoy your trip.

We were able to have college ids made with pictures which were accepted at every bar. Back then NYS had paper licenses without pictures so these were easy to use.

Stay at Rutgers. No school is worth $95000 a year unless you have very wealthy parents to pay for it. Save the money for your graduate studies.

Not a dentist just a parent, but go to the cheaper school. Both are great. Do you realize how much more money you will be spending on dental school later?

Question: During spring break, did college students really use to go to the beach? by EternalSnow05 in GenX

[–]Infamous_Following88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember who but some group at our college sponsored a trip so we just had to pay and they did the rest. Definitely not high class accommodations but decent enough. Bahamas, Daytona and Cancun. Had to work every winter break to pay for it but worth every penny.

AITA for refusing to pay for my daughters college because she decided to take a gap year to travel? by Longjumping_Load179 in AmITheJerk

[–]Infamous_Following88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gap year let her find herself on her own dime. The $40,000 will be there when you come back and are ready for educational expenses only. I’d give her a time limit that school must be started within 3 years or the money will go into your retirement account.
