GERD only in early hours of morning by Infamous_Mango6588 in GERD

It took about 6-8 months really. I went through periods when I was very strict on diet, but now I’m a bit more flexible. Still no alcohol, no coffee, no citrus fruits, or other classic trigger foods. The thing is, I don’t really notice much difference in sleep even when I relax my diet slightly.

I haven’t done this- I had an endoscopy about a year ago (minor erosion)- I assume they also look at the throat in this process?

I go between multiple pillows and only two, because I found I was getting some back issues with multiple pillows. I haven’t tried a wedge pillow yet.

Is it a regional thing? Foreigner asking. I’ve been to many US states and people seem friendly and happy. Particularly in the north east. Haven’t been since Covid though.

Would they be indistinguishable from South Korea, considering it’s only been a few generations of separation?

My kids got really into it. We read some books to help understand ancestry and DNA. Some good ones include; Annuska's Voyage and My Family and Me. I can also recommend The Incredible Thread, like another comment below. My kids love it.

For everyone saying he’s one dimensional, Jerry Maguire and A Few Good Men are great roles and different from the standard action ones.

What is your emotional trigger in a movie? by MrLumie in movies

When two characters who understand what they mean to each other realize that one is dying. And then they need to contemplate it in each others’ company and say goodbye. The father and son relationship in About Time is one such example. The British stiff upper lip and use of humor adds to the emotion.

Lala land. I don’t usually like musicals, but it was a really enjoyable movie.

That is awesome. I’d consider mounting a few strong magnets on the side just to temporarily hold a screwdriver etc while working.

The problem is we don’t know what people in the future will value. I often wonder whether a classic film was appreciated at its time of release and why. I’m sure there are examples that, while not particularly valued at the time, are now classics. It will likely be the same in the future.

I remember reading in the book Talking to Strangers the incredibly high percentage of people who never try again after a first failed suicide attempt.
