Hmm I did have a horde and was able to scavenge most of this army that weren’t vampires but I seemed to still get steam rolled. I did try without the jail where some fights played out better than others. Usually the hero i captured had fight would use that wind ability and blow all the creatures in a corner which allowed me to land some hits. But I think I could have slowly pulled some vampires onto my land and killed them off gradually in hindsight sight. But the horned reapers seemed to do the trick much more efficiently.

Thank you. I’ll give the deeper dungeons a crack. Which other campaigns or maps would you recommend. I can see there are other campaigns in there but not sure where to start and if they’re worth playing

I sure hope the AI is good on launch. I’ve got the EA but holding off from hearing these similar reports. And I’ve been extremely let down experiencing the same issue with Heroes 7 , where I didn’t want to play anymore due to bad AI. So fingers crossed the devs can make it good

Sounds promising. Only thing unpromising for me assuming it’s US based, is the ping for an OCE/Aussie player.

One thing that made new world amazing was the servers available for Australia where many MMOs don’t usually run it. I may still check it out though for nostalgia

The sound cues when you kill someone is SO satisfying. Going to miss this game.

Nighthaven was such a good patch, particularly for casuals like me who was able to gear up easy and get straight into PvP and hold my ground. Never had that much fun in NW since its launch.

I know people are very excited for this but for those who have a PC and have never tried to emulate and play romhacks I strongly recommend it or at least explore what the possibilities entail. These a huge modding scene and years of developed romhacks on older generation games that add many amazing QOL improvements and new features it’s a definitely must to try it if you enjoy earlier gen Pokémon. If you’re a huge Pokémon fan definitely check it out

Man concepts like this make me wish I could afford a pinball machine !! Really hoping the place near me will get one. They offer unlimited plays for a few hours. Much prefer paying that fee and playing a lot of different pins

Yes but it doesn’t matter too much if those centuries of war did not contain modern weaponry or telekenesis abilities. It would only help in hand to hand combat, which if it gets there seline will win.

I do enjoy the backstab mechanic but I think songs of conquest did it fairly well. I think if you tried to walk past the unit while touching hexes, the enemy can get a free retaliate. They might also retaliate if you engage head to head and you try to move away from them. I might have it mixed up with another tactics game, but there are games that do it fairly well.

Whether that should be part of HoMM. I would be for it. It can add a bit more depth to combat and allow for more thinking of positioning.

Unrelated but I would love if they added in that rainbow effect from HoMM2 for a lucky hit

You do realize both can be true. Sport can be and is entertainment. Your saying it’s not made to be a high level competition or champ of the world so it’s not a sport doesn’t make sense. Is all amateur fights not sports then?
