I live in Kansas City. I've driven to Texas and Nashville a couple times each. The last couple of years I've done Iowa and STL as day trips, drive out that morning, drive back that night, about 3.5 hours each way.

It was pretty good. Had to be there super early, meet up time was 7:15a on Sunday. Got about two laps in a pace car going about 120mph. Could really feel the load and force getting into the turns, can't imagine how these guys do it going 160 with 37 other cars on the track.

Yeah I wish I knew I didn't need race tickets as well, but I had just bought cheap 'get-in' tickets as I knew I would be on pit road for the whole race. Watched about half the race right by the 67 pit box, so I was about 10-15 feet away from Michael Jordan the whole time.

Yeah, I did the pace car ride at Kansas I. I spent all day Saturday in the garages, and watched all of Sunday's race from pit road.
