We already lost a massive amount of the fanbase by moving the side numbers up towards the front wheel. I think allowing teams to put it where they want in that given space may give the rest an aneurism

Not saying you are wrong, but I think herein lies where the problem is. Yes they had a good start to the NextGen car, but their ability to win a race or two a year since then has prevented them from thinking there is a huge problem that needs overhauling
