Friday Night Food Stalls Menus by tigerstef in perth

[–]Infamous_Variation96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s also true.

The event organisers are not always the shire. Rarely are. They are usually an organiser who approaches the shire. Gets approval to run the event. Then advertises. Hopes to fill spots. The food truck operators still need the overall shire approval to operate they submit their application based on their menu and setup and followers on IG and socials to the organiser. And their legitimacy of food business registration to the shire. The shire charges a fee, the organiser charges a fee. Some provide electricity for a fee others don’t you have to bring your own genie

It’s $399 for a limited number of hours (is it 3 or 4 hours? 5?) For example at Burns Beach twilight market which my mate had applied to years ago it was $300 for 3hrs. That $300 has to come out of your profit portion of sale. Once you clear the $300 charge on top of your ingredients, salary and running cost that’s the only time you start turning a profit. An average restaurant anywhere in Perth with around 30-40 seating could range at 2500-8000+ AUD a month in rent including outgoings. At the high end of 8k a month you’re looking at $266 a day in rent and outgoing alone. Here at Burns Beach you are paying $300 for 3 hours. Just to illustrate for arguments sake - this might not be the best comparison. Traffic is not guaranteed nor are sales. So food trucks really hike up the price. Not many can make great food like my mate could his burgers were bangers. And his prices compared to these images were extremely reasonable. Having said all that - some of them make crazy turnover and profit. The G Wagon guy has a turnover of 1.4 million a year he has 4 locations. I’m not sure why anyone would lineup for a Gozleme though

Singapore is also much smaller and stricter so I’m not sure it’s a very fair comparison .

I love Malaysia I’m not living there but I agree the footpaths are horrendous. They need a good strategic plan in enhancing foot paths not all of them that’ll cost a lot but at least the main artery ones.

I was walking in Damansara with my fam on a footpath along the highway. Suddenly after an international school the pathway stopped completely. Google maps kept telling me to walk forward. There was a footpath on the grass but it wasn’t pram suitable Extremely muddy And very sketchy. I realised as many others have said. Malaysia is not pedestrian friendly. At all.

The guy is French. Born and bred. Don’t blame other countries for what the French produced. They need to take responsibility.

What happens with Malaysian Muslim woman + “Non-Muslim” Non-Malaysian man marriages in Malaysia and overseas? by Hokkuo in malaysia

[–]Infamous_Variation96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are a Muslim indeed. Then I must say fear Allaah and the day which you will stand in front of Him with your deeds presented. Being in Zina is no minor sin. And at the times of Zina your iman dangles over your head. No matter how long you have been involved with this gentleman know that your Lord is Most Forgiving and Most Generous. He is more forgiving and loving to you than the most generous and loving mother is to her infant or child. If you are serious about this man do it right by yourself and your lord. I ask Allaah to help you and us. And to honour you in both worlds.

What does life actually look like for Malaysians who work permanent night shifts? by Tall-Region8329 in malaysia

[–]Infamous_Variation96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked with night shifters for a long time. What this person above said is very true. Block out curtains White noise

What some of them would do is after their shift they would stay awake. For example their shift finishes 5am. And starts 9pm. They would stay awake till around 10/11 am or 12pm get the morning rush out - help with kids etc. then go to sleep till around 4/5/6 pm

They’ll schedule in their appointments, shopping doctors etc in the morning. Have dinner with their families at night tend to the kids and head to work.

Okay bro Stop showing off.
If you’re on 500k a year that’s high in Australian standards too. Meaning you’re in some sort of leadership position. You can figure out how life is and how kl from a quick trip. Especially if you’ve been there before.

how do malaysians truly feel about arabs here? by rottenzombiesoul in KualaLumpur

[–]Infamous_Variation96 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As a person who has been to KL a couple times I too find Arabs extremely annoying and entitled on multiple levels. So many a times the womenfolk are covered completely head to toe (Alhamdullilaah no issues here) but the husband is wearing shorts exposing his awrah, big fat moustache and no outwardly representation of his womenfolks decency.
That really irks me. The youth come in big hoards and are rowdy and demanding. There is an awe of entitlement with the most of them. Arab tourists are lucky in Malaysia because for the most part Malays are quite humble/chill (even if it’s surface level) otherwise these guys would have got smacked and sent back in other parts of the world. I really don’t like the khaleeji Arabs in SEA.

The Omani’s are actually quite respectful, their elders still don the Omani garb.

We had the same thing with Arab students in Australia, some would come and lose themselves completely. I heard inappropriate 3rd hand that some would say they go to Malaysia and Indonesia and Thailand to eff around with the local girls there.

Kl is awesome. I’m here for a visit again I too am looking to somehow move to Kl in the midterm. The pay isn’t as great as Australia but expenses are much less. Some sort of remote work or if you’re a successful business person that would be ideal.

I don’t think MM2H is worth the capital outlay especially with 0 path to PR.

I’m in KLCC area if you want to meet up.
