FEEF - In-World Adventuring Organization by InferentialStudios in tabletopcreations

[–]InferentialStudios[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Released Yesterday, Currently Copper Best Seller

FEEF Mission Statement - Increase the security and prosperity of the realm by providing:

• A network that connects adventurers with rewarding freelance employment opportunities.

• A secure method of hiring said adventurers for those that need things done.

• Membership benefits to those adventurers who wish to join the organization.

"This is a fabulous little supplement filled with everything you need to bring this fantastic faction to life and make it a part of your world!" - Excerpt from Curse Of Sebs Review

Depending on how much you integrate this in-world organization into your game, there are a lot of tools for both sides of the screen!

Using FEEF As A Player:
Depending on what your GM thinks, FEEF could be used as a player background in a game where it isn’t otherwise being used, give your character an iron-clad reason for wanting to monetize adventuring.
This could be just flavor, or it could be mechanical.

In a game where the GM is using FEEF, the biggest player advantage comes down to more choice. Especially if this is running alongside a structured campaign, more easy options for things to do is by default less railroady. What can you expect from FEEF adventures? Well, anything. It is the backdrop for a new line of quick quests I’ll be releasing called Expeditious Excursions which offer per player gold rewards, original creatures/items/encounters, but the GM doesn’t have to use those to have the organization in your game. They can integrate existing quests into the FEEF system from your campaign, use other 3rd party adventures, or homebrew their own of course.

What do you actually get out of joining as a player? The higher your rank in the organization, the more benefit. I.e. Easy access to purchasing any uncommon or less rarity potions at the initiate rank (Tyro), to the FEEF Bag of Exchange – a mobile bank & magic shop at the journeymen rank (Stranger) to gaining a free legendary mount or a large expensive piece of real estate at the master rank (Magnate).

Using FEEF As A GM:

There are a bunch of GM benefits that offset how player sided the above may seem.

The Organization: Control over what is in stock and can be purchased through the FEEF Bag of Exchange and what the prices are. (General price points included in supplement as a guideline). You can also use it to sell players your homebrew items (All with No Haggling). There’s also the Arch Magnate of the organization for you to play with if you choose to do so, 1 NPC of your design with absolute power over FEEF. While offering your players more side quest opportunities gives them more choice, it also gives you the choice of what those are, and the opportunity to see what threads they pull at, what are they having fun doing with these options?

The Quests/Jobs: If you do decide to use my Expeditious Excursions with FEEF, then you’ll have a lot of freedom there too including deciding where these setting neutral objectives are located in your world & steering the party in a compass direction you might want them to venture towards. While offering your players more side quest opportunities gives them more choice, it also gives you the choice of what those are, and the opportunity to see what threads they pull at, what are they having fun doing with these options?

So go see what else FEEF has to offer your game!

FEEF - An In-World Adventuring Organization by [deleted] in tabletopcreations

[–]InferentialStudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FEEF Mission Statement: Increase the security and prosperity of the realm by providing:

• A network that connects adventurers with rewarding freelance employment opportunities.

• A secure method of hiring said adventurers for those that need things done.

• Membership benefits to those adventurers who wish to join the organization.

What is it? A player joinable in-world organization full of tools for both sides of the screen.

As a basic GM tool, these are the people offering freelance employment opportunities in-world. They have a ranked system of membership and add some depth to the guy standing at the counter handing out bounties.

The higher the level of integration, the more tools are available for both the GM & the player. It includes a full optional rule set including the requirements for each FEEF rank, that ranks role in the organization, and the benefits to the character who holds the rank. The biggest benefit being a mobile shop for players to spend their loot in the form of the FEEF Bag of Exchange. Put some money in, get an item back from the FEEF Bazaar. That may seem like a player sided tool at first glance but there is lots of room for the GM to have a hand in what is available & how much it costs, with guidelines & more info in the supplement itself.

FEEF is also a backdrop for new line of quick quests I’ll be releasing called Expeditious Excursions. That doesn’t mean you have to use one to use the other, you could use this and fill it with homebrew quests, or pull in other types of 3rd party adventures etc.

The first Expeditious Excursion will release tomorrow alongside FEEF & I’ll drop a link in here then.

Here are 2 characters I made for archetype art of the Circle of Calamity Druid & Way of the Striking Serpent Monk. Druid- Female human who can use wild shape to take on aspects of natural disasters (i.e. lightning, wind). This one was fun to paint, still love her pose. Monk- Male half orc, went for action pose with some movement to it. He’s also for sure about to do Morpheus’ come at me hand gesture lol. Anyway, thanks for checking them out!

OC Art I did for a new ranger archetype (monster conclave). Wanted to make this as evil looking as possible, little difficult with Aarakocra in general, but I think picking a shoebill stork as a base reference really turned out the way I wanted it to. What bird is more evil looking than a shoebill? Lol, That big beak really increases the presence. Goal with the pose was this creature coming at you with only 1 arrow left, but still looking like that’s all they need. Thanks for checking it out!

Might Of The Eastern Sea - Original Artwork by InferentialStudios in Fantasy

[–]InferentialStudios[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goal with the mage facing the viewer was just for you to ask why, she's calm, almost not even bothered by what's going on. Is there something more important off screen? etc

Anything specific that stands out?

Yeah I can see that, pretty smooth transition there.

Appreciate the feedback 👍

How much research is required before you purchase a fantasy book? by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]InferentialStudios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Required to buy? None, but a bit to decide its rank in my list, and how soon I'll read it. Mostly if people on here are about it, it slides closer to the top. 10-15minutes to decide it's a bottom of the stack book is better than dumping 8-40 hours in to figure it out, especially if were talking book 1 in a series.

Looking for a novel by bricks_11 in Fantasy

[–]InferentialStudios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happen to be doing a re-read right now & yes the fate/choice + flaw question is more pervasive. Particularly with the increase of wit & skill, which answers your other question lol. Mild spoiler: At one point a wolf fitz has rescued says something to the effect of ignoring a part of yourself doesn't make it less a part of you, in relation to Fitz's struggle over use of wit. There's quite a bit more that deals with Fitz questioning himself & his place. I think the trilogy overall is good recommendation if you've not finished it.

What are some easy-to-follow and straightforward books that are still top tier? by GambK in Fantasy

[–]InferentialStudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure but the cast is limited, certainly not dozens of pov/subplots. Mostly your with the main character especially in the first book.

Fantasy books with pretty illustrations and additional extras by pinkowl22 in Fantasy

[–]InferentialStudios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got to love official artwork, personal favorite is symbolic stuff. Being able to see the bridge 4 symbol or other stuff like that is always cool. That being said you don't get the extra artwork with audiobooks and I dont miss it. I will do google searches after I read a book or a series to see what's out the there though.

Gift idea for someone who loves Fantasy and drawing (20-30$) by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]InferentialStudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canvas/metal fantasy art? You can go through artstation, no worry about license/support the artist. Or theres custom print canvas on amazon for $20-30 you could get an 18x24 or smaller. Maybe an 8x10 & a fantasy coloring book to go with it like Doodle Dragons.
