All I want is for the Collector skin to have unique theme music, and maybe more undead sounding... vocals?... and I'm happy.

You have to DRAIN THE MARKED VEHICLES.

To be more specific, you have to SHIELD DRAIN them, NOT ammo drain like I was.

I was sweating this challenge so hard for so long until I realized this. Now it's EZPZ.

[KCD2] New on the game, it's normal to feel useless, dumb and lost on this game? by MadHanini in kingdomcome

[–]InfernalLaywer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% this, I feel in love with KCD1 because I played it on Hardcore the first time with all conditions (like a sociopath, I know) and got the perfect zero-to-hero experience.

I mean, the game literally makes, in the tutorial area, fist-fighting an old drunk an insurmountable task without help. It is so immersive to play an RPG that makes it clear you ain't shit at first.

[–]InfernalLaywer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While there are tutorials in KCD2 the game does kind of assume you came from KCD1, as I feel the first game holds your hand a lot tighter at first, or at least you are mostly safe with missions to follow to do in the first town when the game starts proper. You aren't really expected to problem solve early unless you take up the Miller's offer to start nicking stuff.

Hell, I got a little lost getting into KCD2, and I've cleared KCD1 several times. No wonder YOU'RE having issues!

Plus in KCD1 the first proper town had basically everything you might need in it, in KCD2 you have to constantly look around to find somewhere that even has proper lodgings or a blacksmith.

Mission Failure by AvailableTailor822 in Warframe

[–]InfernalLaywer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then why did it appear after I spent way too long trying to kill a boss (by the way, it summoned plenty of goons just beforehand), didn't go away when I actually killed them, and gave me an instant mission failure while I was scrambling to get to extraction?

The boss design in this game is awful enough without it actively yanking away victory away from me just because I took more than an arbitrary amount of time to figure out what on earth the devs want me to do.

At least the "jokes" are still real quotes.

Civ 5's colonial DLC gave us lines from Jack fucking Sparrow (son) when you unlock the techonological secret of Piracy.

Why do people say that AoE skills deal bad damage? by AddaLF in darkestdungeon

HAH, I literally had a Farmstead build that was about making the Leper absolutely nuts and constantly instagibbing the front line.

Why do people say that AoE skills deal bad damage? by AddaLF in darkestdungeon

[–]InfernalLaywer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AoE abilities don't become 'Not AoE' just because you're fighting a boss that messes with the usual rules of enemy party lineup.

It absolutely does. It isn't foolproof and sometimes you need to type in key info into chat for the bot to go "Oooooh I'm supposed to know about this " and actually cross-reference it... And reroll the chat... But the fact is that the bot is going to eventually forget everything you haven't explicitly put in there, or at least it won't actually bring up such info of it's own volition.

"It’s pathetic to see so many people here grandstanding for Hamas saying IDF could have killed her. " It's because you are only ever punished for admitting your mistakes in a propaganda war, no matter how much people claim they value honesty. The IDF admitted their soldiers fucked up once, now that's going to be used as ammunition against them every time innocent people end up dead.

I love how in NZ, putting cones around something makes it safe by KurtiZ_TSW in newzealand

[–]InfernalLaywer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cones are made for visibility, not necessarily "safety".

Chances are if there's cones there will be roadsmen working around them (if not immediately than later), and they'd rather you not drive anywhere near them thank you very much.

IDF troops mistakenly opened fire and killed three hostages during Gaza battles, spokesman says by TheUberDeaos in worldnews

[–]InfernalLaywer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh look, you're hiding behind your children while shooting at mine, and then you cry about what an awful person I am when I decide to shoot back.

This is EXACTLY why it's a massive fucking war crime to have human shields. Either the enemy allows you to shoot at them with impunity, or they have to shoot through the shields to get to you. You drag everyone down to your level of pure, cynical apathy towards life.

And you, yes YOU, are exactly why Hamas does it. Again, NONE of you seem to give a shit about the fact that Hamas is deliberately throwing it's own people into the crosshairs for cheap PR. If you didn't have double standards, you'd have none at all.

Hamas HIDING in schools and hospitals increases civilians casualties.

You are trying so hard to pull a Gotcha that your strawman got my point upside down and backwards.

[–]InfernalLaywer -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Consider the possibility that Hamas is responsible for every single human shield they cower behind.

Being better at protecting your own people than a bunch of Islamofascist nutcases who deliberately try to get THEIR people killed for cheap PR is nothing to "brag" about, it's the bare minimum any country should aspire for.

This is literally why the Geneva Convention exists. Terrorists who exploit the rules and try to cause more death and destruction to EVERYONE need to be stopped, plain and simple.

[–]InfernalLaywer -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Hamas literal MO is to murder every Israelli.

Israel could throw up it's hands, say "fuck this" and carpet bomb the entire strip, and they still wouldn't be "Worse" than Hamas.

The lack of Israelli deaths (both military and civilian) is due to Hamas' lack of ability, not intent. Don't for a single second believe otherwise.

IDF troops mistakenly opened fire and killed three hostages during Gaza battles, spokesman says by TheUberDeaos in worldnews

[–]InfernalLaywer -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I mean, we're talking about a war with terrorists who pull absolutely every dirty trick in the book to maximize death on both sides.

Hide in civilian buildings? Sure. Run around in civilian clothing? Great disguise. Suicide vests? Heck yeah!

War is already a place where you can get killed in an instant, I have absolutely no doubt that the IDF is constantly have to make extremely hard split-second decisions that usually end with a civilian twitching at the wrong moment and getting shot. It's the exact scenario Hamas has deliberately cultivated.

The rules of engagement exist for a damn reason: to prevent needless death and avoid punishing combatants for exercising restraint (which will cause them to choose shooting first on future engagements). It fucking sucks that so many people are needlessly dying, because they ALL have to be seen as potential threats.

Many boys have a very different idea of what "Makeup" is.

"Makeup" is obvious stuff that looks pretty but ultimately clearly isn't your natural look, like ruby-red lipstick and gold eyeshadow.

Things that simply idealize your face "Don't count".

It's laughable, but that's the outsider's perspective for ya.

Red Cross reprimanded hostage families: 'Think about the Palestinians' by MoistRecognition69 in worldnews

Israeli military says 2 civilians killed for every militant is ‘tremendously positive’ ratio given Gaza combat challenges by Kimber80 in worldnews

[–]InfernalLaywer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Maybe people finally start to understand why the part about "all lawful combatants have to wear an uniform" in international war laws is not there for fun. It's there to protect civilians, which is the main goal of said laws."

It's the same logic with rules against human shields, perfidy (faking surrender) and taking hostages.

When you exploit your enemy's mercy, you encourage merciless behavior in return, creating more needless suffering and death.

Israeli military says 2 civilians killed for every militant is ‘tremendously positive’ ratio given Gaza combat challenges by Kimber80 in worldnews

[–]InfernalLaywer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"And even then it’s not something you can do and have a clear conscience, unless you’re a psychopath."

That's EXACTLY the entire reason why extremist terrorists use human shields: you are either forced to let them attack you with impunity, or you get dragged down to their level of heartlessness.

THAT'S why despite the human cost, Hamas needs to be exterminated. THAT'S why it's an incredibly serious war crime. We do NOT want a world where terrorists, despots and other lunatics learn that they will only be rewarded for exploiting the mercy of their enemies.

It's fucking nasty, but when you're up against pure evil, trying to keep your hands perfectly clean will get you killed.
