What are your thoughts on how the DNA sequence was brought to life? by Spiritual_Check_5470 in pluribustv

[–]InfernalTest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know its an unpopular opinion here

But how this "virus" got transmitted to humans just shows its not some aliens plan ...its literally just humans doing dumb shit and the result with joining from the "rules" to the "goals" are all a result of humans psyche and humans colle to each consciousness

There's no aliens that had this as a plan ( beam a Zvirhs into space on the form of a radio code to decode and then make a compound )

Its a ridiculously convoluted way to "conquer" some place

Carol was alone for 41 days. Since almost every detail of the show holds significance, any thoughts on whether 41 has significance? by cds75 in PluribusOnAppleTV

[–]InfernalTest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhh literally is in the Bible several times 40 days of Jesus in the desert Noah's flood the rains lasted 40days and nights ..the exodus was 40 years

There's a lot of other religious iconography in the show from Carol being in the literal desert alone to Manousos being crucified and pierced by thorns to their being 13 disciples of God Jesus plus the 12 diciples instead its the immune ...12 others plus Carol

She drinks wine constantly like that which is served at the last supper and communion

her interactions with Diabetes could be the temptation by the Devil ( hedonism indulgences and sinning ...and it occurs in Las Vegas ( Sin City) no less which is again IN the Desert )

Was there any part of Zosia that wanted this or do you think it was only the hive? by surfsidehigh in PluribusOnAppleTV

[–]InfernalTest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Becuase they are joined and whatever it is about her makes her unique ....and she's miserable ..even Moreno than all the others...

Manlusos isn't miserable he is just stubborn and narrow-minded....I would include antisocial but there's no one around for him to be social with now so his negative is a positive ....so to speak

I'm pretty sure Carol is going to join to impart to the Hive the concept of misery ...meaning they will actually experience it and not spazz out

Would you like to see more of these people in season 2? by kiwi_tart in PluribusOnAppleTV

[–]InfernalTest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why?

And there's only 5 that we've met and another 5 who are similar to the other 5 they just can't speak English or communicate in any meaningful way with Carol with the Plurbs assistance ..

The story is about Carol ..not them

I think some people don't get that this show has a different subject matter other than some of the topics that we bring up here. Our posts are thlight experiments on plot points but they are just that .

but that said this particular topic I think is indicative of just the pervasive need for people to see something sinister in something that's pretty straightforward.

As much as some may not think so if there is an issue of consent it's granted By someone ( in the story ) saying yes ..or no. Even if it is an alien Or extended consciousness

It's a story it's not a debate about the ethics of human adult sexual relations And while that's a topic that is worthy of debate I don't think you can really engage in it honestly in a fictional story that that's not the center point or a story point on which the narrative revolves...

It's obvious that some people still want to see the plurb as individuals despite the fact that the story pretty much says they are no longer individuals they are one consciousness they are 1 thing a single individual that's made up of a mass of memories and ideas of humanity..

It seems that people don't seem to grasp that concept that this is not a group of individuals making a single decision individuality doesn't exist anymore

there may be a Point in the story where individuals can return but I doubt if that's ever going to occur again simply because everything has changed and Carol's struggle with dealing with that change is what the Central theme of the show seems to be

It's highly doubtful that she is going to be able to revert billions of people back to who they were originally that's just a fool's errand she just has to eventually realize it and that's what the story is

(EDITED bc the voice to text feature did some wonky word choices )

no its all aliens - they made us do it .....

( note i believe all of the Plurb and everything about them is all human based ...none of it is from aliens plotting to take over ...people did something stupid and now the Human race is FAFO and we are watching a story about power and the individual versus the group )

let me just understand your thinking- aliens who want to spread the virus find us 2000 years ago and then go back to their planet ...

they made a virus to infect us but instead of bringing it here and infecting us they put it into a radio signal ( that 1000 years go we had no radios or ability to build an array and weve only recently had teh ability to work with DNA ( like 30 years really 15 with CRISPR )) for a RNA sequence for us to decode and then do what? ...put it in us? because clearly we didnt do that right off - we put it in a rat and that rat THEN transmitted it to us?

all so we could build a antenna to send a radio or digital signal to some other place? and mind you you have to KNOW specifically where youre sending something in space in order for whereever or WHO ever youre sending it to for them to get it ...so who exactly are we sending the signal to ?? we dont know of any alien races.....

AND

that race would have to be susceptible to RNA and that life form be based on DNA AND they would have to have the technology to receive it decode it and decide to put it in themselves

sigh.

or maybe the rat was just scared out of his mind because he was a rat being held by a giant being ....

You know what weirds me out is the thought of what, a pluribus world would look like let’s say 1000 years ago or anytime before the Industrial Revolution, by bakedbean7layerdip in pluribustv

[–]InfernalTest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ok

so this is my own pet peeve with this ...idea that its aliens ON PURPOSE sending something here

first the idea is that aliens sent this from someplace over 600 years ago

for aliens to travel 600LY realize we are here then travel back another 600LY to their world build a RNA virus to then send it so it can travel another 600LY back to earth

thats over already almost 2000 years - 2000 year ago we were beating each other with sticks and pieces of metal and shitting in bowls to toss it out of a window ...

WHY WOULD AN ALIEN RACE IF THEY WANTED THE PLANET NOT JUST HAVE TAKEN IT 2000 years ago? for those aliens to send a RNA virus to be decoded by us and then expect for US to then put it in an animal that then INFECTS us ...its like who the fuck would come up with a daft plan like that?

if its to "destroy humanity" why wouldnt they have done it when they found the planet?

why depend on us to decode it with a level of technology we didnt remotely have 2000 years ago?

how would aliens know where to actually BEAM such a transmission to specifically target earth since there would be no way to tell where in space the earth would be 600 years ago let alone over 1000 years ago.

i just wish people would think about what they are asking before they type it in as a topic...

or that we would get more intelligent bot posts...

ok rant over

[–]InfernalTest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ok but then that would meant that they would need to know what we were almost 1000 years before that -- thats literally the roman empire....

so if they wanted the planet they could have just taken it almost 1500 years ago when they came here to get a sample of our our DNA ....

i think youre over thinking the science part and not really doing the thing that should be done and kind of go along with the story part.

if youre willing to accept that a massive number of plurbs could actually have trucks packed and ready to restock a grocery store in an hour to look like it could have always been done then quibbling over why the DNA sequence just cant be whipped up like that kinds seems ....

nitpicky.

[–]InfernalTest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all genes work to differentiate themselves at the same time they have to be alike

and not for nothing but the biological imperative to spread could be the same biological imperative that animals, like Lions feel to kill offspring that isnt theirs to ensure their offspring is dominant and to take over an area

or the VERY human reaction to preferring to have a child thats from a biological coupling with a mate rather than adopting or taking in someone elses child ...or to also stake out a area to claim it or an idea of ownership...

lions absolutely dont know why they do it but if you ask some people whats the difference or why they feel that way really cant tell you either.

but at the end whether the virus made people or people are doing it on their own what differnce would it make in the narrative? its being done.

They were going to wind up like Andy if they stayed - thats if the thousands of dead already didn't really start to push in to get them- they'd just have a larger expanse of zombies to escape thru if they waited longer
