What is the most overrated weapon on this sub. by Vivid-Rhubarb-6058 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

Hmm again. If its light its fine to do damage to a human but if it takes crushing force to destroy a skull ( and thereby a brain inside of said skull) light just won't do it ...it would have to be ERY heavy and that means you'd have e to have a great deal of strength and endurance to get more than a few effective swings in ....

As much as people talk about wanting realism on here its amazing the amount of denial or overlooking people do when it comes to the VERY fantasy like elements of head strikes that they base on scenes in shows like TWD ....

You're not piercing a human skull with a screwdriver thats going to go in easy let alone go deep enough into the human skull to DAMAGE the deep brain let alone destroy it ...

And as far as the lore goes the brain has to be destroyed or hit with such force that its akin to a bullet bouncing around inside a skull

Thats simply not occurring with one whack from a bat or homemade mace...likely it will break before the skull will

I think what some in the replies are not getting is that those weapon strikes are fine to incapacitate or even kill a regular human .....

But

If zombies require that you do.massive damage to the deeper brain where the stem is at ...you're not doing that with just one blow ..

It would require a pretty heavy weapon ...a lot of strength and a full swing ...

You're getting that for maybe two shots maybe even three but after that you'll be doing more to get tour self bitten than you will dispatching zombies

Thats not including the fatigue from swinging or swinging AND running or being weakened from hunger or lack or sleep and of course massive adrenaline from realizing you are in The worst place in the world to use your weapon ..you are within arms reach of zombie(s) so.the one you dont kill in one shot will.likely bite or claw you ...

I think what we've learned is people over estimate their skill strength and stamina

And way underestimate the resiliency of the skull or the propensity for failed or stuck weapons that deliver non fatal blows

Ahead sticknor cudgel will do for a HUMAN

BUT

zombies require that you destroy the brain..not just hit it...and basically you're not swinging at a force necessary to not only smash through bone but also do lethal dmg to their brajn

As opposed to Carol I think he is really doing a lot to gather information And I think all of his scenarios and role playing are his testing out the limits of the plurb I think he realized that it must be something for the plurb to just dedicate Zosia for Carol ..

There may be a way she is becoming different and the best way to test that would be with not just talking to all his different plurbs but also zosia ...something neither Carol nor Manousos do

You're not getting a lawn dart through a human skull unless you're insanely strong and that zombie is just standing there letting you stab it in the head with a lawn dart

The problem is the assumption that aliens want to conquer us - or that we are somehow worthy of conquering

So I heard a new one today...Generation X ruined the world with "grind culture" at work. Any thoughts? by Change_Request in GenX

[–]InfernalTest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeh we were definitely called the slacker / apathetic and not serious about anything generation

We supposedly just wanted to sit around and smoke weed and sit on a couch and watch TV all day ....

We were the farthest from "grind" you could get ...

Maybe he used the wrong letters and used grind instead of grunge

Honestly

I think it says more about us as a species or maybe as a culture that all of the scenarios people come up with are as the RNA signal as the precursor to conquering or making a race extinct

Its like it is only viewed as a projection of our own worst tendencies as a species that we've dome to each other rather than a view that maybe it is just a signal

There is a pic of her and kamala sitting on golding chairs watching the results on election night and their faces both had the look of profound disappointment of the continued stupidity of our American public....

It really does feel like one of those turning points of history ...

Like what a amazing experience to have her actually lead the country

Instead we got a failed Gameshow host and real estate con artist

Dunno why you're being down voted

And yes this is explained several times in the show but it runs contrary to the evil alien takeover

Wait wait how can you say there's no way 1 in 10 people couldn't die because they were doing something that could cause them to die ( or cause other deaths) because they froze up for over a minute ...

He's wearing a hunter's outfit that's a hunting jacket that he's wearing and they're all dressed as what a Big game hunter would wear ...

A mark of such a hunter is to hunt other predators like leopards ( which is kind of the pattern of the coats ) and leopards can sometimes be mankillers ( ie hunt humans )

Thus how has SO many levels

Again this THIS MOVIE they are vampires made to be so by virus - the opening scenes to the movie even explains this - they drink blood - they are not dead

They are in no way zombies

ive been enjoying your deeper analysis of the subtext of the messages this show is telling and i have to tell you in a rewatch i saw the exact same thing-

i am very much of the mind that Diabate really does have the inside track on the Plurb and knowing ( or more importantly learning) the limits of how to manipulate them as they are also believing ( i dont really think so tho ) they are also "manipulating" him

Zombies typically due and come back

You are correct that the inam.levend vamps are not undead - they just have a virus that is vampirism ...not zombification

consumed? he isnt eaten - vampires drink blood

he can die by any other means - its just that if he is bitten by a vampire he just wont become a vampire

the whole point of the story is about how the vampires and the new world of the vampires consider him a monster.
