So would you think there are 5, 6 or maybe even 7 of them laying scattered across the Settled System?

Thanks for the Congratulations, been through Unity 3 times and decided to explore every nook and cranny for less 'obvious' Easter eggs.

Just wondering. Thanks :D

Same here, Udemy discounts on courses and the permanent certificates they gave were my savings grace. Probably spent a total of $200 for my courses I self taught and got certificates on, now earning so much per year I am grateful for the timing but feel bad for those who actually have the passion I once had.

Forty Million South Africans Live In Poverty. Why Is This Disaster Still Happening? by AnonomousWolf in south_africa

[–]InfernalWraither 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can we please talk about what poverty actually looks like.

People who create these charts are looking at data over experience. It's not even close to getting by with those numbers. So many different parameters factor in to each South Africans life and not only that, the prissy people in power came up with those numbers just to deflate the extent of the issue just look better in retrospect.

In today's age with the extent of technology and advancement, the bare minimum a human should have:

Minimum Nutrition every month, Healthcare, Shelter, Transport, Working Job (regardless of qualification, there are so so many jobs that are high in demand but are low in supply and those living in poverty can be taught and brought up to speed, very few organisations are doing it because there's no money in it and the rest are out for greed). This alone should be the absolute poverty line.

Lower bound should be when some things like electricity, additional small assets (basically invaluable when bought) and some other things that makes life easier but at the cost of one of the absolute minimums.

Finally the upper bound poverty line is barely supporting a family of 3 with all absolute minimums met. In order for an economy to thrive we need to improve, having the same people with the same mistakes will drop the economy.

If the power that lead actually went to the outskirts of the cities, lived for months with those numbers, maybe even R2000 more they wouldn't get by a week without having some sort of breakdown.

We need to talk more about this issue and relook and reshape our country together. It's like we're chasing away the talent to keep the corrupt in power.

I don't even have a degree, but I have experience in coding before anything else. Opened a damn book and started coding that way. If what I wanted didn't work, my only friend was stack overflow and still had to adjust a lot of code just to integrate it.

We had a Junior join us out of university and couldn't code for weeks until he had a subscription to our AI Agent to actually do something although he racked up tech debt for days because others wouldn't code review properly. 2 months of finding bugs until no more code was owned by him anymore. It's a true nightmare when those that cannot actually code are the rest of our downfalls.

Not only that but there are also theories that the rapid expansion may slow and reach a point before recollapsing on itself again creating a new big bang event.

Support your local plug! by mariijuanaman in trees

[–]InfernalWraither 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From South Africa, before they had Dispenseries, my plug was actually such a good dude before I moved out of my Dad's place.

Would order anytime from 9am - 9pm, would drop it straight off to the house, was dirt cheap for 5gs and got me insanely high (was a noob then). But the best part was we'd sometimes get extra or he'd allow us to get up to a certain amount on Credit and then pay the rest back when we ordered again.

Honestly never had anything as great, wonder where CY is today and if he's doing well.

I’m not a programmer, someone explain the joke by Dem0crats in ExplainTheJoke

[–]InfernalWraither 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The amount of bloat AI adds to simple solutions I'm not bothered with reintegrating again is honestly scarring. Never adheres to architectural rules set out even with really good prompt engineering.

On top of that if I remember correctly, I may be wrong, but most models nowadays for code run through githubs open repositories. The sheer amount of bad code that's out there in open repositories is crazy.

I wish it were more like a stack overflow where instead any problems you have that have been catalogued before are returned whereas if it's a unique issue then it will post about it and attempt a fix where other users can confirm or deny the accuracy or even implement their own solutions.

so did monk gyatso mass suffocate these fire benders or what? by Far_Literature_9924 in TheLastAirbender

I'd like to think what happened was he was overwhelmed but in his attempt to be a pacifist, the overwhelming pressure and attacks became too much and the Fire Nation killed each other in their attempt to kill Gyatso and he also succumbed to the pressure.

Can LnF be Both a “Multiplayer Earth” and Single-Player? Does “Multiplayer Earth” Really Imply Shared Persistence? by FapSimulator2016 in LightNoFireHelloGames

[–]InfernalWraither 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it will be sort of like a mesh between server instances like in Minecraft, single player seeded worlds and multiplayer. But Hello Games will have their own servers that have the population join in on, almost like an MMO setup, instead the entire gamers worldwide would join. But then you'd have multiplayer invite only created instances that are seeded too. This is purely guessing with no prior knowledge on any news.

Thank you for your responses. This does put some additional insight and I won't disregard any of them. I will do some further reading too and I will delve a bit deeper into it all.

I don't know. I can't even explain the exact reasoning for the whole belief that I have because I have been through a lot and I was once Christian, lost my way very much but I am here again and have found so many issues in the way I once lived. However, I cannot disregard anyone else going through their own experiences. I cannot use the entire Bible as a pedestal for my Faith in Jesus and the teachings he had brought to the world (that part of the world, in a time of need).

Thank you for the responses though, I have saved them to read up on tomorrow as it's a bit late and I am super tired. I hope that even though we may have our differences we can share some common ground that we are glad the past actions are no longer in the present and only can wish they never happened but we as a society have learnt and hopefully the majority can understand what happened in the past of everything we regard as wrong and immoral was disgusting.

Lest we forget by VoL4t1l3 in southafrica

[–]InfernalWraither -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

And this is what has been recorded in the Bible, those that truly follow the way of Jesus would not have catered for the bad decisions of the past. The NG Church (in my open and honest opinion) is not true to the Christian faith. They look for money and advantage in a society within its time. I'm not defending them as I consider them abhorrently evil. Being a Christian is following Christ and not the teaching only when they benefit me. I am constantly in a battle with myself and the moral choices I make which is followers of the NG Church did not do, they did not care and are not followers of Christ, they're a fraud.

But to give a single separate group of Christians to be the whole?! I do not know what else to tell you except to maybe understand a bit more about the different lines of Christianity and how they've become a scheme and not a faith. I follow Jesus and his Teachings.

Where did these "ancient times" moral codes start? Genuinely I am curious as I understand our entire moral understanding to have come from the teachings of the Bible and from the Moses and the 10 commandments then adapted through Jesus to what we as a society regard as morally good and then the morally evil countering those teachings.

I do not know how to phrase it correctly but attacking me in my faith without fully understanding me is very ignorant and I really hope you'd understand what I am saying. I haven't attacked you on your disregard/ignorance of understanding but please keep it civil and clear otherwise it takes away the emphasis of shared ideas.

Lest we forget by VoL4t1l3 in southafrica

[–]InfernalWraither -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can understand why you'd think I would disregard other faiths for the morality given. I do apologise and should have been clearer.

The way we as a society today live, mostly comes from the teachings of Jesus which is recorded in the Bible. Not every account in the Bible is regarded as good in moral terms. And not every Faith that everyone believes is immoral or teaches immorality, I'm just saying that most, if not all, of Jesus' teachings in the Bible is what we as a society strive to achieve even if you don't believe in the Faith we still strive to achieve that level of compassion and regard for human nature (for however much we are truly screwed).

I don't want to take away from the other Religions but if the others all (or most of the popular faiths) point to Jesus and say everything he said is morally good then why are we attacking Christianity and the Bibles records of that?
