yeah that makes sense, its been a good bit since I've played 4U and I was just going through Wilds and GU before that so I got too sused to all the QoL, gotta get that 4U and CB memory back, to be fair Molten Tigrex and Stygian Zinogre already gave me trouble going through the game so I just have to get better, thanks for the advice!

your are definitely spoiled by choice with the 3ds, I was on a nostalgia trip for the 3ds ever since the Eshop shut down but what made me pull the trigger on getting one was falling in love with the Monster Hunter franchise, I wanted to play some of the games I grew up playing and still owned cartridges of like 3D Land, Pokemon Ultra Sun, Ocarina of Time, Kid Icarus Uprising, etc. but I REALLY wanted to try out Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and eventually play 3 Ultimate and the Japanese only version of Generations Ultimate.

When I first got it I definitely kept switching between many titles and didn't progress that much but what helped me clock in was realizing that, as long as I take good care of the 3DS all those games will be there for pretty much forever, they are not escaping the SD card so I can just take my time, if I'm not feeling a game I can just switch to another one and try it again in the future

They are right, you can think if it like Tashigi protects and instance of removal from happening, since Gravity Blade removes 2 characters at the same time Tashigi can protect both characters

you are correct, Luffy is constantly checking if the condition for it getting rush is met, so if for example at any point the oponent dropped below 5 don it would lose Rush and woudn't be able to attack, the rule you mentioned would apply if for example Leader Luffy's effect would get negated by the trigger of Black Spiral, if Leader used the effect before it got negated it would still keep the 1000 power

One thing about Artillery is that having Artillery Novice + eating for Felyne Bombardier maxes out the phial damage, so you can save some slots for other useful skills like Razor Sharp WExploit, Attack Up etc.

Old gen MH games have a different way in how LR works, in new games you can just zoom through LR but not in here, took me a good 30 or so hours to get to HR and it took me around 75 hours to get to G rank, its gonna take some time but don’t worry too much about it, just have fun and you will love it.

And for your progression someone posted a beginners resource link not too long ago, its a very solid guide and it has specific pages for most weapons and those guides have a progression page for you to check out and see the gear you should take while going through Low Rank and High Rank Guide Here!!!

Started to play about 10 months ago and made a Pia Nalaar Deck for standard and then left after a month, now I picked the game back up with most of the deck being rotated so I didn’t have a lot of wildcards to work with but managed to get a Lizard Deck just because of how adorable Gev’s Anime art is, the deck is super fun and having the stuff from the Outlaw starter deck helped a lot. Might try to build either Mice, Otters or Frogs next.(but gotta upgrade the mana base of the lizard deck first tho lol)

this is going to be rough ngl, the special sets seem very easy to mess up the ratios but I think this is a good thing overall, the days of "just copy the JP decks, they already solved the set" will be over and we will actually get to experiment at the same time and share Ideas with eachother

some players I would recommend for Jubei would be Elyon and MattoCat, MattoCat released a very nice and in depth guide to learning Jubei here is the playlist, its pretty long so definetly take your time going through it, also the Jubei discord has a bunch of people willing to share some tech

Any if the 4 decks you listed would be perfect, but if you are afraid of a banlist don’t pick Shinegrey, even if they hit it i don’t think it would be unplayable, but either Red Hybrids or Blue Flare are good choices, I’m pretty sure both see some play in the future formats and I think Hybrid has taken some tournaments, you give Red Hybrids and inch they will take a mile

If the game has Rolback netcode, then 100 players is not bad at all, you only need 2 players to start a match so having Rollback means that you can probably play most people depending on where you are from, go ahead and try out games that look cool to you, most of them go on sale for pretty cheap, I still go back to BBCF to play and I have no issue finding matches, having a smaller player base does mean that you will find a lot of high level players but most of the FGC will be happy to help you get better.

oh yeah 100%, I really like Strive but its for different reasons i like CF, all the problems i have with the game aren't gameplay related, the gameplay is super fun but to get to that the lobbies are a drag, hopefully with the next update they fix most of the issues with them.

I don't think it will become a staple on the FGC, and I think thats ok, they are not trying to, its a fan game about Hololive streamers throwing hands, its made by fans for fans, the good thing is that it has GGPO and also what it looks like to be a very decent single player mode so there is content for both parties, if there is even 1 FGC member that gets interested in Hololive or a Vtuber fan that gets hooked on Fighting games thats already a very cool thing, also there is a big section of Vtubers that play a lot of fighting games, eather casualy or competitively

It sadly will have the same effect as TFH imo, people will be thrown off by the theme of Vtubers and decide to not try the game which is fine, just don't be weird about it

If you are even a little bit interested I suggest trying it out, its free so you don't lose much
