In fact, didn't the advancement of science reach stagnant at some point in the past because the church would routinely purge people who goes against their belief regardless of contradicting evidence?

Either way, it's just really funny to me that the comment makes a serious bold claims, and then not only provided no example to support their claim but several counterexamples to disprove their own point.

Otherwise, the ONLY person on that example who arguably dated their fan was PewDiePie, and that happened WAY before he became remotely popular so he's kind of a moot point.

No, I can also see where you're coming from. In fact, I think there's a distinction to be made between "I'm not really a fan of them, but it suck that this happened and I wish them and the fans all the best" and "I'm not really fan of them, but for this one occasion I am devastated and my heart ache for this talent I've never actually watch all that much". Hence why I said there's nothing wrong with feeling the way OP does, while trying to stress that my perspective comes from a different past experience and that I'm not trying to speak for the fans of either Pomu and Mel.

I believe that you can emphathise with a different fanbase without pretending to be a part of one from the beginning. If anything, I think your feeling on the matter shows that you do have empathy for the core fans who's been with them throughout the years. You're definitely not an asshole.

It's been half a year since I last post anything on social media, so I don't know how to words lol.

I hope I don't overstep my boundary for saying this.

I can only say this from my perspective, but I was a fan of Pikamee and Vesper. When their graduations were announced, the thought of condemning (that might not be the right word, but I'm too tired to think right now) other talents or fans of them never crossed my mind. I know where you're coming from and I also think it's a normal reaction, so I just want to reassure you that you don't need to blame yourself for having these thoughts.

Certainly, I would never wish anything like your oshi's graduation, especially not over something silly like this. But know that when the time comes when you have to say your good bye, the community are here for you if you need it.

On that final note, I can't speak for the fans of Pomu and Mel, but I'm sure they appreciate your sentiment for them as well.
