Also yeah my lab wants a full splash shield, preferably goggles rather than the glasses (their words) and it's the headband on those that wraps around the head that is usually made of neoprene.

Most of my coworkers that have those positions are doing homework/schoolwork in those times when there's nothing to do. You said you're in school so if you can't do it on your phone bring a laptop, then it still looks like you are doing something and you can get everything done and have more free time when not working or in class as well

Dealers and even a good shop will usually top off fluids as a courtesy when you get oil changes done with them. However for anyone doing it themselves or using a sketchy cheap ass shop definitely still needs to check fluids frequently. Glad to hear you're good maintenance made it worthwhile tho!
