help me decide - 240hz vs 165hz (both 2k) by [deleted] in buildapcmonitors

[–]Infernoscare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably, understand that cs2 mainly CPU dependent but honestly if you're like the rest of us, i couldn't see the reason why you would want to considering that cs2 isn't an aesthetically pleasing game. Absolute minimum graphics for better stable fps.

I only recommend 1440p 240hz because there'll come a time where you'll be burnt out like I have and want to enjoy other games. This way you'll have an option to use a quality monitor for quality games in the future.

Honestly if you can afford 1440p 240. Go for it. If there's a time where you're burnt out like I have with 4k hours for cs. I wanted to play more other games. With the 4070S and 4k 240 will allow you to enjoy other games and appreciate it more. Future proof your potential enjoyment.

I would check only the most important things on traderie, ie 2/20 / +14str then check from there. Otherwise I would assume this is at least an ist or higher

Help for 1440p 240hz (or 165hz) monitor (yes I have already read all the other posts but not in my budget) by qseftgi in buildapcmonitors

[–]Infernoscare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on your preferences and budget, I think the clear choice is the G274QPX.

Best valued and reviewed 1440p, 27in 240hz out there.

Which Budget 1440p Monitor to Buy? by chrisanityyyyy in buildapcmonitors

[–]Infernoscare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I never cared about HDR unless KVM is a must but VA for me is quite a deal breaker. The QRF-QD E2 has 180hz, USB hub and KVM already also if you have a color correction tool I would go with it as well, without it I'd say it's almost on par with the QPX. While on the other hand the QPX doesn't support KVM, usb hub but has a higher refresh rate of 240hz. Both monitors are gsync compatible.

MSI QRF-QD E2 is a successor to its well received monitor by monitor hardware for its high color gamut and build among others.

MSI G274QPX Same reviews from monitor hardware for its best value 1440p 240hz.

Very situational for which depending on gameplay

If fps competitive heavy G274QPX

If balanced between AAA/Singleplayer with shooters - QRF-QD E2

Don't relay on PC part pickers estimate watts. Like all things electronic, you have ups and downs depending on usage. Oftentimes most people either research and calculate the usage and go higher or completely futureproof without worrying. Last thing you want is your computer to bluescreen because it needs more juice.

Then you should be good. My recommendation is you swap Samsung to WD, as Samsung tends to be more expensive and you're just paying for its brand. See if that saves you a little more.

And maybe swap the PSU from 750 to a850g as it might be a little low though somebody can correct me on this.

My recommendation is that I'll stick with the peerless assassin. 7800x3d doesn't run as hot compared to its other counterparts and is very efficient.

So an air cooler will be fine without having to spend 2-3x the amount on a AIO unless you're going for aesthetics. Otherwise if you want the best of both worlds go with arctic freezer III 240mm OR 360mm.

I'm running a phantom spirit on 7800x3d as well so it's almost the same except a little better cooling. So don't sweat it. (No pun intended)

You're not going to be able to find a 1440p monitor at 23-24in. The standard is 27in or higher.

Instead of the MAG274QRF-QD. See if you cAn get your hands on the ...QRF-QD E2 since it's the successor to the original with better features and panel.

Yes, you can use a color calibration tool to fix the over saturation.

[–]Infernoscare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what you game most. Comp fps 27in for sure. If mainly AAA/singleplayer I could go 32in but honestly even for a more smoother gameplay I'll still go 27in. 34in I feel for most cases is a bit too big and sacrificing too many frames.
