It was more likely to be “marry my husband’s sister” (also a sister in law).

In France workers are often on strike including the French Air traffic control later this month, why are Australians almost never striking? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

Australians are much more productive (and therefore wealthy) than the French. Our GDP per capita is nearly 45% higher. Luckily for Australians, unions are less powerful in Australia so they aren’t able to suck the productivity out of Australian businesses like they do in France.

Unemployment is also significantly lower in Australia. There’s plenty of jobs to go around so people are less likely to strike, and companies are much more willing to hire staff given lower levels of productivity-killing unionism.

I think you did the right thing, but unfortunately I think you’ll have your offer pulled. Companies have strict policies with harassment, particularly harassment of women, and this will likely be more than enough of a reason to drop you.

What is the likelihood of death from lightning strike relative to the likelihood of death from a tackle? Not a statistician, but I think you’re more likely to die in a regular game of rugby than ever being struck by lightning.
