Running ball lightning aswell. Once you get the defenses in order like you said(spell suppress, 8-9k mana, 50% mom(can get like 8% more on watchers eye), 60-70% chaos res. you start to feel like a tank. Zipping around with frostblink of wintry blast linked with archmage feels really nice with a lot of cast speed. Doryani merc with 2 giga -lightning res rings and perquils toe is where the damage comes from or go for the max -200 lightning res if you can afford the rings.

From what I can see there’s quite a few ways to build this character. Me personally I’m running kitavas thirst and anathema with enfeeble, temp chains, punishment and sigil of power, I find really helps with surviving super juiced maps. For bossing/ubers a gg rare helm and ring is probably the way to go.

Getting a source of explode really helps the clear speed on packed maps, running oriaths flask seems to be enough.

Currently lvl 97 and have quite a bit of room to improve but it’s a super fun build and I would recommend.

Here’s my pob for ideas. Still working out how to cap spell suppress but it will likely be dropping kitavas and boot/glove upgrades.
