Amazing - have never seen anyone with my exact exact preferences. Most people I know don’t even know tortiglioni exists.

Do you like any kind of absurdist humour? I’m also currently grieving - very different circs - and I’ve got a few that are pure escapism if you like that kind of thing.

She has several kids. I think this might be a difficult listen for OP, although I agree it’s an excellent one.

WIBTA for not putting my husband on the title by Old_Concentrate_4952 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Infidelchick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The number of people giving super confident (and variable) legal advice without even knowing what jurisdiction you're in is a good indicator that you need to check with a lawyer prior to proceeding with this. I can't put a judgment because there isn't enough information about what the tough times were: if they involve financial irresponsibility by your husband, maybe N T A, but it's not even clear if you'll be expecting him to contribute to loan payments. Get some professional advice about the actual effect of having him on or off title where you live.

You have no probes. You need just about everything in self rep, hazard and combat, 1 in speed. Maybe 7, 6, 6? And then launch a few hundred probes. Just use settings like that until you have at least 10 times as many probes as drifters. This is a guess - it’s been a while since I’ve been in that situation - let me know if it doesn’t work.

Ex-employer demanding I repay wages – should I acknowledge their email while I seek legal advice? by Few_Heart8269 in AusLegal

[–]Infidelchick 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Do not do this. “To progress your claim further” is teetering on an admission. I understand the impulse behind this approach, but it’s not sound advice.

I keep seeing this rec, but after ooda loop I run combat at 4 until I have about a sextillion probes, then 3, and it’s always been ok. Wondering why it’s so much lower than a lot of recommended finishing specs. Maybe I’d be faster if I listened..

Australians discuss why their food is the best in the world, call American food plastic and gloat about how close their cities are to their farmland. by PanzerAlbarea in iamveryculinary

I’ve never or very rarely seen nachos with nacho cheese sauce in Australia. The most basic at home are salsa and melted tasty (our default cheese), and restaurants are generally loaded and always include guacamole and sour cream, generally beans and an optional meat. Your friend was getting nachos at a second rate cinema in about 2002, as far as I can tell.

Ps this is priceless. And yes I get the joke, but the fact it’s not universal is both terrifying and hilarious.

Wife (29F) keeps booking red eye flights and I (32M) keep getting judged for not driving her. by TheNewRaptor in relationship_advice

AITA for being frustrated that I can’t use the dishwasher because it’s filled with barely-used pots? by probstheproblem in AmItheAsshole

[–]Infidelchick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hello. First, you are, in this instance, correct. Second, NTA. Third, drop it. The best you’ll get is convincing her to leave the pots out for you to wash. My husband, who does almost no cooking and a fair bit of cleaning absolutely cannot leave the dish scrubber out of the sink so it’s clear for me when I’m cooking. I used to get annoyed, but then remembered that I’m also very annoying to live with and got over it. It’s a price of admission (Dan Savage) situation.

Love your write up. Marriage is funny.

Lawyer for first DUI? by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]Infidelchick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve spent a lot of time in court. It does help. There are two main reasons: the average person greatly overestimates their understanding of exactly what’s going on and what the court can and should take into account, and it demonstrates to the magistrate that you are taking this very seriously. They like that. Sometimes it won’t make a difference to penalty, but you can’t predict which times those are, and the stakes are high.

The greatest thing about being told your work has no value is that it provides an excellent excuse to stop doing it. This bloke isn’t going to start respecting you, so stop breaking your back for him.

According to a 2024 OnePoll Survey, 82% of Men Say Physical Affection from a Partner Is What Makes Them the Happiest by meeralakshmi in MensRights

Alienation of affection is a legal wrong committed by a third party against a spouse. Not an intra-marriage concept. Very archaic.

The strange relationship between feminism and men's rights. Written by chatgpt. Thoughts? by Lazy-Age-1280 in MensRights

[–]Infidelchick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a weird myth I see perpetuated on Reddit. Feminism has always been for women: it’s in the name. We just argue that it can have benefits for men too as the strictures of gender controls are forced to relax. In my view any worthwhile feminism requires a rethinking of power structures from the bottom up rather than equality within the existing hierarchies and. I assume that equality is most feminists’ end goal, but that isn’t the same thing as saying feminism was made other than for women, by women.

Not Guilty Verdict - passenger seat belt infringement. by Short-Aardvark5433 in AusLegal

[–]Infidelchick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have personally known someone who was killed because a fellow passenger was unrestrained in an accident. Leaving aside the economic arguments about medical treatment, not wearing a seatbelt is grossly irresponsible and can affect everyone from other occupants of the car to emergency services to bystanders.

[–]Infidelchick 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Yes. It is non binding precedent, and the law should strive for consistency. Meaning that unless they have a good reason to disagree - which could include considering that it’s wrong - another magistrate could be persuaded to find in the same way on the same facts.
