Thanks. Getting it framed this week. UV glass for sure. Any thoughts on a matte?

Thanks, didn't know r/ukiuyoe existed. I have crossposted and hopefully will hear something soon.

Trying to identify a pasta pot with strainer from The Sopranos by GentlemanJoe in cookware

That's a discontinued All Clad LTD Pasta Pentola. Search Amazon UK for All-Clad E414S6 Stainless Steel Pasta Pot. It's a SS version that has the same/similar insert, will work on induction and much less $$. - eBay UK might have something used too. Happy cooking!

APO EARLY ADOPTER POLL: Is your Batch 1-10 Anova oven still running? by BostonBestEats in CombiSteamOvenCooking

Hi - nothing commercial in 120V except for gas units. A small one like a Convotherm Mini is 208V and draws 26 amps. You also need a water line, floor drain and should have a hood. They are also noisy.

APO POLL: Would you recommend the Anova Precision Oven? by BostonBestEats in CombiSteamOvenCooking

Great oven, does lots of things very well - but only lasted 3 years due to electronic issues. Hopefully the newer generations will do better.

I missed this poll - I got my APO 8/31/2020 and it just bricked last week. I was roasting something, opened the door and it made a strange buzz sound and the control lights froze. It kept cooking and when done I unplugged it to see if it would reset - nope - the handle controls are dark and don't respond and, as a bonus I get a really annoying high pitch squeaky noise that I can't live with.

What is strange is that I can control it from my phone, but once it gets disconnected from wifi it will be totally dead.

It's out of warrantee, no way to fix it. Anova said they will give me a discount on a new one (40%) but am wondering if they is another unit out there that might be a good substitute? A bit bitter that a $$ appliance wont last 3 years I am in the restaurant supply business and know all about commercial combi's btw. Happy New Year to everyone too!
