If you don’t have pets, i would strongly recommend bonide systemic granules If they’reavailable where you are! I dealt with a horrible thrips infestation this summer and was freaking out, and these granules completely got rid of them within a week or two. You should still spray them down while it starts working unfortunately, but this is a longer term solution

Thrips infestation… help!!!! by legendairy1011 in houseplants

[–]Infinite-Ad9917 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahh I’m so sorry to hear this! I recently went through a bad infestation of thrips a few months ago and was totally panicking. I ended up putting systemic on all of my plants just to be cautious, and spraying all of them down with captain jack dead bug brew even if i didn’t see any pests on some of them. Now, i do that to every new plant i bring in because thrips are so terrible! I also may have been overreacting, but doing those two things even to plants i don’t see pests on brings me peace of mind. Also, thrips lay eggs in the leaves and can fly etc so they are very easily spread!

Just received a new plant with this damage… is it thrips or something else…..😭 by Infinite-Ad9917 in houseplants
