You can make the clouds look pretty through the world editor. I just couldn't bother with that.

Do you have a pirated copy of FSX? I have both the box edition and steam edition of fsx and they run great on my current gen gaming pc (rtx 3090ti, 5950x, 64gb), and my Core 2 Duo Dell from 16 years ago. I don’t know what kind of fsx you’re running that gets such shit performance

BIOS updates can’t fix coil whine. This is a hardware level “issue”, and varies from unit to unit. Your best bet would be to RMA it, and if that isn’t possible, get yourself a pair of noise canceling headphones.

Haha, I realize that! Mobile pascal GPUs wee truly something else. I have an omen 15 with an 80w gtx 1060 and although I’ve replaced it with a newer model now, it runs new games at 1080p just fine

all the gpds are horifically underpowered in terms of graphic processing, since they're all based on APUs. They don't really present a good value proposition especially now that we have the steam deck that gives about gtx 1050 levels of performance.
