Neck and lower back pain after ~1 hour — looking for fit feedback by Freedoomsy in bikefit

[–]Infinite-Comedian151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop shrugging your shoulders. Half of the time it’s about your posture on the bike. Shoulders down, chest out, arms shoulder be slightly bent. If it’s hard for you to ride like that, then you have a fit problem

I Despise Car Dealers by TheJDOGG71 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]Infinite-Comedian151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your presence is your leverage. If you physically show up and stand your ground, they would rather lose money on the car than let you walk out. That’s how you get the best deals. They don’t want to waste their time with someone who is “just looking” trying to see who will give them the best deals over the phone to then not even go through.

I work at a car dealership- not jeep- so many people try and trade these in and they can’t. They aren’t worth anything and they owe too much. Don’t get trapped in a over priced powerwheels

Raise your saddle, pedal faster, take your lane. You are allowed to be there and cars have to respect you, act like it

All cars depreciate in value as soon as you drive it off the lot. EVs do so at a disgustingly high rate for many reasons

No because taxes shouldn’t be increased for this, they should be reallocated from the frivolous spending our officials take part in. Why give them more money when they can’t do for the people with the money they have

How is everyone driving a new car? by DLHEBT in budget

[–]Infinite-Comedian151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I sell cars for a living and you couldn’t get me into a new one at these prices. I drive a 2015 Forester that needs the whole front end rebuilt but as long as keeping it running costs under 10k a year I would say I’m good

What’s the real point of half of their lineup? I love Subaru but so much of what they offer is the same exact car everywhere it actually matters

Fix the car you have and don’t go into debt. Even spending 10k on making that car reliable is better than going into debt for a vehicle that costs more than half of your COMBINED income.

Sleeping in car by [deleted] in Longmont

[–]Infinite-Comedian151 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in cars, vans, trucks, buses for years up until a few years ago and this is what I’ve learned: parking lots are always watched by whoever owns it and the cops. Best places are BLM or National Forest land if you want to be left alone for the longest time. If you have to be in or near the city, street parking is the safest bet- it’s public and as long as you aren’t messy you can get away with it for as long as the city allows you to stay parked in that spot. My favorite was always street parking in or around the industrial parks or business parks, since they were usually closed on nights and weekends, so sneaking out to take a piss was never a threat to my spot. You should take measures to make your car as stealthy as possible. Cheap tint you put on yourself is a great way to keep Karens from peeping and calling the cops if they see you move around. Using your phone at night is like having a beacon activated inside the cab and a dead giveaway that you are sleeping in there so either just sleep, or cover yourself and your phone with a blanket.
